Help me with Overclocking totally noob

Assalamualikum!
Any friend can help me with overclocking?
My mobo is P5KPL-AM EPU
I have Hyper212+ Cooler
Processor: Q6700

Styles brother said that I can't overclock my processor with this mobo.
I know it's not very good overclocking mobo but I saw someone who overcloked his processor with this mobo.

Can anyone tell me how to do it? and how much overclocking is safe with this mobo?

I have used this Motherboard that you're currently using and its VCore Voltage doesn't work and so doesn't any of the other voltage's if changed from bios.
Was using it with a Q8400, stock speeds were 2.66Ghz but i overclocked this till 3.2Ghz but don't get too happy here.

After some research, Q8400 is known for being OC'ed till 3.2Ghz at stock Voltage but what does work for sure about this Mobo is its FSB alteration in the bios.
Was even using the same Hyper-212+ Cooler at the time :)

It's a fashion of OC now a days or what, i don't get why people do this either to follow fashion or to get some thing (eventually just no major increment except for their own thinking that it actually worked),
imo the Risks of OC far out weighs the Benefits, so be advised. Highly NOT Recommended

Well, I've used this motherboard too, and this board is limited for overclocking, no core voltage adjustments at all, you can only OC it with stock volts that is it which may not give you much improvements whatsoever.

yaar in simple words you can overclock your processor upto 3ghz. if you want a good overclocking mobo purchase a p35 chipset motherboard

Thanks Sunny brother I'll buy new mobo+processor as Zeus MK said if it's really have some bad effects on processor then I'll avoid it.

Zeus I want to OC it for encoding not for games.

    did you try setting up Google Payments? For UBL you may have to get it enabled for internet transactions, Naya should work without it!
