Yr I was enjoying the thrilling sound of Creative XFI Soundcard with my GTX 470 GPU. But decided to get a new GPU and moved to ATI 7970. After this, my PC doesn't detect the sound card and the only option left for me is to use soundcard of MOBO or sound of ATI 7970, both are not as impressive as XFI . Please suggest a solution yr!
. The second issue faced was that only SPDIF was shown while the speakers was shown for HDMI output of soundcard and onboard mobo soundcard's. So, I uninstalled the GPU drivers and all the shit sound drivers including the creative xfi driver. Reinstall the creative xfi driver first. It showed everything of creative xfi now, (spdif, speakers, mic etc.) then drivers of mobo soundcards were installed and then GPU drivers pr installed. and BINGO!! everything is now working fine!
