XBLA Wednesdays: Arkadian Warriors and GripShift

Microsoft announced today that this week's Xbox Live Arcade release will be not one but two games: Arkadian Warriors and GripShift. Both games will be available for downloand on Wednesday, December 12th, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. GMT (2:00 a.m. PST) for 800 Microsoft Points each.

Arkadian Warriors

Define your legacy. Awaken your inner beast. Fight as one of the three powerful warriors of Artemis as you confront Gorgon herself in Arkadian Warriors. Embark on a trek of epic proportions, traverse treacherous dungeons, fight off hordes of hideous enemies, and take on heinously powerful bosses. GripShift

GripShift combines high-flying platform gaming with extreme stunt driving action. Test your reflexes and bend your brain as you stunt your way through 120 twisting Challenge Mode levels across four uniquely themed worlds.

Collect power-ups, avoid traps, and beat the clock as you compete for top leaderboard slots in single player mode, or deploy an arsenal of funky weapons and go head-to-head across 25 Race Mode tracks and 20 Deathmatch arenas in online multiplayer. Choose your driver, unlock faster vehicles, and customize your ride with new skins. GripShift is a gravity-defying thrill ride every racing fan must experience!

The points you earn while playing games are called gamerscore. It is just for showing off on LIVE. Frankly they ain't worth anything.

MS points can be bought for real cash and used to buy things like XBLA titles, rent movies, buy themes and picture packs etc. on LIVE.
