Dear Brothers,

Assalamoalaikum,

I wish to buy a printer in order to print books available online and read them later. As you know that there is a very large variety of interesting books, magazines available online. But I can decide which printer would suit me. Should I buy a Deskjet, Officejet, Laser or Photosmart printer? Please guide me about that. Also please inform me the printers whose ink could be refilled easily here in Karachi. My budget is Rs. 10,000. Thanks for your cooperation.(PGR)

For alot of printing you should buy a laser nothing else.

Also know beforehand which models support easy refilling.

The easier refill as you will need it. is Hp printer.
but it is alwasy best to stat refill after warranty expire. which is one year.
or you can buy refurbished one for cheaper without warranty.
i have these printers and review with it.
deskjet 810c old printer, my main printing is on this the cartirdge cost around 2000/- now but i get it refill for 150/- and so far i can have as many as 3-4 refill.
each refill can print around 500 pages on normal and well best will be less and draft will be more. but if you plan for refill draft is best if you printing each day, otherwise normal is fine.

the second is all in one Hp officejet J4580. this one is good if you want to scan, print, fax, and copier. but the main thing i hate about it is the cartridge the cost is less around 1200-1500/- but it cant even do 300 pages on normal, eventhough it is written on the back of the cover. and i just colour full map on A4 around 22 pages and it eaten my colour to half.

These are what i have so it is best to choose single printer but do choose with bigger cartridge one.

otherwise if only black Laser is go and fast. but do find out the rate of refill and new cartridge.

hope this help.

There's also a built-in Wifi one in this model.

I keep both deskjet and laser. For printing large number of documents only laser are economical, reliable and best. You can save money and get the Samsung ML-1660 for 5300 or if u want to spend a bit more get the HP laser jet P1102 / P1102W for 8500/ 8900. Buying anything else wud be a bad decision.

Get a laserjet no doubt about that. The refills also cost really less. Look for a laser printer designed for heavy/office use. I bought a laserjet p1005 for about 7000/- and it's working great MashaAllah.

Oh and btw i get my p1005 refilled for about 250 rs and it takes the guy about 15 minutes.
