Hi, I just started my office and got 3 Internet connections.

1. PTCL 4 mb with wireless router
2. PTCL 2 MB with wireless router (want to upgrade this too)
3. Qubee 1 MB with wireless (As backup, one never knows when the ptcl goes down)

My first question is I want to combine the speed of first and 2nd connections, is there any way or router available through which i could do this.

Second - on local wireless network i have now around 8 laptops which will grow in future, so the local file sharing is too slow while transferring a file i get around 700 kb/s on local network, which i think is damn slow. I want a faster network so we could transfer files quickly, My plan is to have a common place for all the projects/data and each team member will work on that. My partner is bringing a network drive like this but i am afraid that it will not work on this slow network.

So should I buy some other router (I can get that from dubai as well) or I must have a wired network for this purpose. Let me tell you my business is so much internet based, I provide web designing services to multiple foreigners. Is relying on PTCL is fine in future?

Relying on ptcl is no way fine.better to get linkdotnet secondary connection.and transfer speed is not entirly dependent upon wifi router its laptop cards too.by the speed you mentioned laptops have 54mbps and it will not matter which ever router you buy from here or dubai your speed will remain same unless laptops are changed or in someway there wifi cards are(which is a pain in ass) so much much better solution is to go with wires

Bro one word for you get Wired. It will be much securer as well speedy...can handle many clients as you want. One thing you should remember that do buy CAT6 wire which is more powerful wire than CAT5 and as well as has higher transfer rate. Along with that Buy a D-link Swtich which allow you to connect all the Computers on the Network and lastly Get a Linksys Router through which you will provide Internet on all the computers through your D-link Switch.

If you need more info feel free to ask.

Does your Wireless router/lan card supports "Wireless N", speeds will be upto 512mb which is fine for local networking.

Bro, i have latest laptops some of them are HP Pavilion G6 and some are Lenovo b570 all with BGN card so i think they are not 54mb/s, The ptcl router is confirmed 54mb/s. on an actual 512mb router how many machines i can connect and what will be the actual transfer speed. regarding wired network I have to install it in 3 diffrent rooms with lots of ports and cabling for future, that is why i was avoiding that but if i dont find any other solution then i ll move to that.

Wiith lan your are supposed to get 10mb read write or more if your on a gb lan
On wifi if your cards support 150mbps then you can get same 10 mbps keeping that your router supports it too

Bro yet again I would recommend you to go with wired, because its much faster, if you need speed then go to the market and ask for a special cable which supports 1Gbps and above, which is equal to about 600mb and above transfer rate, I my self got a small piece of that cable and believe you me bro it was an awesome experience for me using that cable. Such speed and stability I have never ever seen in my life.

I don't know the actual name of the cable as there is nothing written on its outer sheet. But I would tell you asap as I get its name.

As for wireless let me tell you something, all the transfer rates depends upon you signal strength, the lower the signals the lesser the data transfer rate you receive. These signals don't interrupt the Internet Speed but yes if you are transferring data from one PC to another then you'll defiantly get fluctuation in data transfer. So think before you take any final step.

Yes go gigabit network, using gigabit switch and Cat-6 cables.

for 2 connections, you will need to setup 2 wan router either using dd-wrt or routeros.

For data storage and sharing use a NAS with raid. Check out www.smallnetbuilder.com for more details

Score 1 for game pass. I wouldn't pay full price for this at retail either.

Just downloaded my first legit digital PC game on GoG at a discount of $8: Two Point Hospital. The same team behind Theme Hospital Two Point Studios now part of Sega. And I am having more fun than most recent AAA games except of course BG3.

Still, I don't like either Sony or Microsoft as they are focusing more on corporate greed than delighting customers. PC gaming is best of gaming and worth every penny.

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.

About the Microsoft (and Sony) debate, I feel both have become too greedy and losing their minds over corporate greed. Personally, I will never buy any console next gen and switch to PC gaming where democracy reins.

did you try setting up Google Payments? For UBL you may have to get it enabled for internet transactions, Naya should work without it!
