I am running it since day 1, that is 1st March I htink, and haven't encountered any kind of issues.
I am dual-booting with Windows 7, but don't see a reason to go back to it.
Metro is great, even on desktop.

I wont judge this one from just a "Public Beta" release. I have a lot of expectations form Win8 and i expect it to perform EVEN better than the previous one i.e. Win7.

The thing i am expecting more, is HTML5. MetroUI is another thing in that list, but i dont know man ... it just doesn't seem well polished YET.

bro as compare to win 7, you can say that it is over polished rather then just polished. so just try it because consumer preview means that MS released it for consumer like you, no harm to give it a try.

HTML5 works flawless on both Metro IE and on desktop one.

And I really didn't understand what you mean by not polished.
It is, in every sense, as polished as a Beta can get.

Miles ahead of 7, if you ask me

Beta's are usually testing versions that are close to the full versions but not exactly the same thing. They are usually released to get some feedback for some minor implementations if needed. Hence, they're tested out in all possible ways to see if its actually stable or good enough to be released later on.

You are talking about the look of the app, right?

If so, then here is the thing.

There are two kinds of apps/programs, on 8.
One are Metro apps, the full screen one, whose tiles are NOT black, but colored. And second like the one you are showing above, are desktop apps.
They are designed to differentiate between the two kinds.

And can you merge this one into the official discussion thread in Software Discussion? Not really a big deal for me, but...
