Thought I'd see what you guys have to say, and this doesn't include people that own the retailers as it's not them.

Edit: Since most of you guys pretty much have the same answer, well the actual matter of fact is this that ASUS was brought to Pakistan by my late uncle, my dads elder brother that passed away many years back.

He went to the USA in the late 90's and early 2000's to talk to the few main officials and officially brought the chain where he opened the shop in blue area, Islamabad. I've forgotten the original name, but it was the corner shop, which is now dunkin donuts, next to tehzeeb bakers, or whatever they call the old rahat bakery.

He also used to retail other products of small companies at the time like Altec Lansing, etc.

Whoever did its overpriced as hell given that they're giving more than a year of warranty on most of their computer electronics (limited warranty I might add).

They are not overpriced at the Shingtec, authorised dealers of Asus in Pakistan and they offer 3 years warranty.

They have got great customer care and warranty, though it does take some time. never had a problem with them. They even do repairs for out of warranty products for charges.

well i dont know , a friends r4e was a dud after 1.5 years and they replaced his mobo in 25 days time , of course through proper channels , its there relationship with high profile dealerships - they dont piss dealerships guys off coz of there huge orders which come in from them , but still 3 years full comprehensive warranty they are giving on some products so what else.

so it was ur uncle who also brought u to computers and gaming world, now a complete pro as we know :D

now its very good to see lots of asus computer products, one can wait 1 month to get their parts replaced/repaired making this worry free to prefer asus with 3 yr local warranty.

Anyways, Im glad to hear that Ali man, and would be more glad to see that history of asus pakistan in wikipedia :D

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
