Which college to go in Lahore

Guyz the problem is that our family is shifting to lahore from peshawar i dnt have any info regarding colleges in lahore so plz kindly guide me which college is best in lahore and which college should i choose
plus i got 913 marks (Peshawar board) my marks are well below frm my expectations but this happens in our skool everyone has suffered in this result.
so m very much disapointed and upset abt my result and can I get admission in best college of lahore
so plz guide me which is the best college in lahore and can I get admission in these marks

as far as colleges in lahore are concerned, you should get admission in GC (Government college) as its the best college for FSC.

FC college is okayish too.

But you should definitely try.
FC College is very good too and you should get admission there with such good marks

First things first. What program you wish to study? That will define your merit. Usually GCU and FCCU have pretty high merits when it comes to F.Sc. But you should try. Punjab College is also a good option if you get scholarship. You should also try Crescent College Lahore. It's also one of the finest institutes of Lahore.

GC has very high merit for Pre-Eng while you'll get admission in FC very easily but don't go for it as their teachers are shit. FC is nothing as compared to GC (GC>FC)

Go for Aitchison college, If you can pay a huge amount of fee. If not, then punjab college is your best bet.

I m consider as a good student but m nt able to score gud marks in board due bcz of all tht 2 number stuff i will try for GC on the seats based for provinces other than punjab and the second thing m nt rich and we cant afford tht atichison colleGE

Sorry to say but you are wrong in this one about the teachers. GC is a government/semi government institute and we all know how well their teachers teach the students.

Then there is Jamiyat ruining everyday classes for students and stuff like that.

FC is purely a private institute. There is no jamiyat or anything like that here. Plus the environment you will get in FC will be the one you will never forget in your life. I am not saying in a bad way but rather in a positive sense.

I myself have studied FSC pre-eng from FC college and I have seen my friends in GC complaining about such things every now and then.

A good thing more is that, after doing FSC from FC college, you can apply for abroad for Bachelors from therein without going anywhere else.

Do you know that the Punjab college is as expensive as the FC now? there is only few thousand difference in the fee. Last year my cousin got admitted in Punjab College and his fee was around 80k I think excluding other charges, whereas the FC college fee is now 91k. You don't know what you will loose while saving this 11k. Trust me, I don't know how much of a financial crisis you are in, but if your parents can afford such fee for the Punjab College then ask them to please go a little more further and get the FC college milestone.

Still it's your decision to make and it's your parents who are going to pay. I wish you best of luck to wherever you get admission into as you are from outside the Lahore too.

It's alright, I copied that 91k from their website too, others are only 1 time expense. Anyways FC college also give financial aid to students too. For example, my friend got 914 marks in Matric from Punjab Board and he got about 40% scholarship 1st year and after 2nd year, it was about 60% because he performed well in 1st year FSC papers. I still think that before you deposit the admission fee in Punjab College, do ask someone thoroughly from the FC administration/students admitted their about how you can avail the financial aid because you are not in good financial condition. Besides that, you always have the option of Punjab College.

Still, good luck in getting admission to whichever college you like

P.S just remembered that students with exceptionally great score, normally in 90% are admitted to model section in Punjab College. The model section is the one who is the cream of the crop for Punjab college and all the best faculty Punjab College has teaches these model sections. My friend's brother got 90% marks last year so he told me about that. Do ask from someone about it from inside the college

Well about the spoon feeding, I myself consider that the real exam begins when you enter in the graduation process. Everything beyond that is just 5-10% of what you will be using in your real life. Still it's my opinion and I think that instead of focusing on choosing a better college, I say get admission in any college and then go to a top level university
