What's the ping like for Overwatch and Battlefield 1 in Pakistan?

I'm currently playing Overwatch on PS4 and would really love to jump to PC but I'm unsure about the ping and/or the server situation. I have PTCL's 8 MB connection and I can play fine 98% of the time but I still want to know for sure before I spend thousands of rupees. I'm looking to play competitive overwatch so disconnections are not good.

I would also like to get Battlefield 1 on the PC Insha'Allah so any info about that is also welcomed.

I can confirm the ping on Battlefield 1 is around 70ms on Dubai servers connecting from Lahore.
Can't say anything about Overwatch since i don't have that game but what you want to find is if it has servers in Dubai/Middle East. If yes then you can expect lower then 100ms otherwise ~180ms on EU servers.

in Overwatch if you connect to "americas" servers which is actually south east asia you'll get around 90-100ms pings.

I have PTCL 20mbit connection but speed has no difference on ping, a 1 mbit connection will also have the same ping from same location.

Before the spring update I was getting 80ms on dubai servers. Now after the update iam getting latency upto 220ms on middle east rendering the game uplayable. Funny thing is iam getting better ping of just around 200ms on EU servers. Iam using PTCL like you. Any idea what could be the problem. Its jnot just me but other ptcl players experiencing the same thing in bf1 that I regularly played with.

Dubai servers should have direct peering and your problem sounds like routing issue. The only fix is to complain and ask them to connect you to someone atleast half knowledgeable, normal 1218 staff can't do anything.
Mind telling me what IP pool you usually get and if you have static or dynamic IP? Having static IP helps much as ptcl can fix your problem specifically but for dynamic they have to fix problem for everyone or atleast the whole IP range.

I will order static ip. You also have static ip? the range of ip address i get is 182.188.89.XX

Keep in mind static ip has a monthly charge, can't remember how much but i think its around extra Rs. 200 per month and yes i have static ip for as long as i have ptcl net.
My ip is in 182.180.xxx.xxx range

I'm not sure about Overwatch but its no use playing BF1 now on PC. Dubai/Middle East servers are all empty and after the new update, the netcode is so fuc*** up that players above 100+ ping can't play its unbearable.

i don't play the game but my friends do and according to them it works like that. You can check other Overwatch threads here on PG to confirm.

yes you can get around 90-100 ms if you connect to americas region and get matched to singapore. since i changed to stormfiber as my ISP i always get singapore but before it was purely luck based. IDK if its something blizzard fixed or something that happened cause the change of ISP.

player base is not as good as europe but not too bad either i guess. comms are an issue imo.

so you could also play on eu with 150ms ping which is not ideal but playable

can you further elaborate on comms being as issue? I just want to co-ordinate my attacks and alert my team about flankers. I haven't played comp for long but most of my matches are a draw because of lack of co-ordination

exactly that. language barrier is there sometimes. not all the time tho. and most don't use voice chat.

tho i haven't played much since i was able to get good sings in singapore

I have the exact same problem, even worse, 300+ pings, any work around? I have asked my ISP to check the trace routes (I sent them) but its been 4 days since any response. BF1 is not half as stable as the BF3.

I have asked them to optimize my EU routes rather than Middle Eastern ones because EU servers are in abundance and have every type, conquest, war pigeons, tdm bla bla, also I have experienced that servers have good players and mostly balanced.
