PC what free mmorpg do u guys play?

ok so i was planning on starting to play an mmorpg which is free (and hence not WOW), and was wondering if anyone here played any MMORPG, and if so which one? i used to play Runes of magic and it was pretty good so im planning to play that again, unless people here play some other one?

There are plenty of new MMOS. Runes of Magic was the first great free2play MMO. Now there are plenty more. Try Lords of The Rings or Dungeons and Dragons, Allods Online, Champions Online and many others.

you should check it also Perfect World

played Perfect world... too cartooish for m tastes.

was playing Granado Espada big time abt two/three years back whn it was all the rage esp in south east asia... pretty decent til you hit 100 lvl mark n thn youve GOT to get bonus xp cards etc for real money or else you fail

Im already playing Aion, its really good. The only difference is between players that bought the game before it went F2P and people who joined after is a slight crafting/economy limitation which you can get around with RM purchases. Gameplaywise, no advantages whatsoever. It was a really good game even before going F2P, an its just as good now. Basically it centres around PvP.
If you decide to get it, be sure to use the EU version, not the US. It has ~180ms latency, which is really excellent.

lolz.. runescape.. thats like, super SUPER ancient.. :/.. i was death_relic0 in that...infact i think it was runescape from which i started keeping my nick death relic... and i made an orkut page for runescape too, "Runescape Pakistan"....

well if u want max pakistani population to play with you then WoW is the game for u..find some good nice private server for it(they are free...servers like Molten and Gamer district have many pakistani and indian players in them) and play that...im currently not playing any mmorpg due to exams but i play WoW, APB:Reloaded, Shaiya, Perfect World International...have tried many others but these are the only rpgs which appealed to me...as for aion u should DEFINITELY give it a try i played it once or twice when it first came out and found it to be really great but unfortunately the private server i was playing on had many bugs

LoL isnt an mmorpg...and are u sure GW2 will be free? with all the hype its getting and a 51$ price tag on cjs i dont think it will be going F2P within 6 months of its release..if its supposed to launch as f2p then why such a high pre order price?

Just to clear things up a little:
Guild Wars 2 will probably be the biggest thing in MMO's since WoW. It is NOT F2P, but it is a buy once game. Unlike most paid MMO's that use a subscription based model or F2P MMO's that use a premium subscription/micro transaction shop to ear money, GW2 uses an unusual (For an MMO) payment model. You just pay for the game once, and then you can play it whenever you want. You only need to purchase expansions. Its not F2P but you only need to pay once(Per expansion that is).
Aion is really good, and its F2P now. Excellent PvP, good gameplay and well polished. And it was recently made far less grind intensive, give it a try youll probably like it. The gold members only recieve a few non-gameplay benefits, the ones who had already bought it before recieve permanent gold status.
