Vista / XP which is the gaming god ?

ok guys i thought id make this topic coz im considering moving to vista 32 bit but first i want opinions from users abt gaming performance ... check my system in My Rig and tell me am i good to go for vista ? and dont give me that online test for running vista i want first hand opinions from the people who are currently on vista

im no expert, but based on the researches done by most of the internet's, XP is the way to go right now.

since games like bioshock etc only have performance issues in vista.

for next two years (I supose) XP rule and good for gaming but later on Obviously Vista .... but if you still run games on vista (original) then I've no idea about that ....

Your rig is more than capable of running vista but for gaming performance I would stick to XP.

Vista because even DX9 games run better in Windows Vista ,i have experienced Ultimate spiderman myself ,the was running with crappy graphics in XP and in Vista it ran like i had a 8800GT or sumthing

na33m did u run spider man on your built in vga ? and have you tested out anyother DX9 games on vista ? btw i also wanted to ask if dota will run properly ... i have it patched to 1.21 and i cant find the patch notes anything about vista compatability so if anyone on vista who plays dota can give me some feedback id really appreciate it and aswell as anyother feedback on dx9 games being played on vista personally imo dx10 is hyped up and is nothing more then improved lighting and A MINUTEEEEEEEEE improvement in textures otherwise dx9 is the way to go call me crazy but these were my 2 cents

i dont kno about you guys but i think xp is the way to go.
i have vista on my bros laptop and its working fine as long as u dont run any games
but i suggest if you have the space you should install both of them in parallel
run the games that require Dx10 on vista and all other on xp

HM my side story for vista

i have vista ultimate 32bit os with windows aero , windows files are like 3 gb

i always had bad experience with xp (dr watson postmortem debugger)

windows services stopped ( shutdown system error) and many other never

had any software issues on it my earlier xp ran like it was just retarded stuttering hanging in programes never had any problems in vista

about games i cant install bf2 on it but recently when got xp installed i installed bf2 and did vista afterwards and the game was saved in other drive it ran on vista but could not be install or reinstall played gears of war cod 4 with no tensions
in cod 4 the games just hangs for like a 0.1 sec and goes on , in gears of war the game stutters for like two or three seconds then goes like good i had to play on low settings coz of my graphic card and a low end processer .

WEll look pal i never played DOTA and i dont even want to and yeah i ran it on my BUILT-in VGA and my younger bro just finished that game , the only thing you need to do to run XP games on Vista is just DX9's .Dll files like " DX_25.Dll ",if any games ask it copy it From XP windows folder to game folder , i RAN MOST of my games with this trick, and they did worked much better in VisTA ,NOW is,nt this just proved Vista's greatness to you guys , and you cant say that windows vista's dX10 is completely hyped up ,unless you have tried Crysis on it with a card like 8800GT\X\S :wink2:

no dude ultimate spider man is a game based on the animated series ... not the movie game and na33m thanks for the feedback ill try vista for a week and ill make a daily log and post my thoughts about vista over here for other people =P !

we were talking about ULtimate Spiderman , but my brother bought a SPiDERMAN 3 PC DVD and it is also working great on my GPU , ,and better in VISTA

Vista is far better in terms of gaming if u have a strong rig with more than 2 GB of Ram.I agree with that notion that it runs DX9 games better than XP and it more stable in performance.
