Used G2 or new Moto G 2014? Help.

Coming to the point, My friend dealt with two G2s himself and had both the "quite unfortunate" phone experiences from OLX :s ..
First was LG G2 sprint variant that had a whole strip of its screen unresponsive to touch on inspection which the seller accepted the fault and the deal was off ..
Second G2 he bought, which he has it right now, is an AT&T variant that worked fine for a few hours after the purchase but started to go crazy all by itself.... long story short, the seller paid merely a thousand bucks for repairs while the repair costs around 7 to 8 thousand bucks i.e a complete screen replacement is required ..
I guess may be he is not supposed to be using G2 at all ..

He must be 'one' unlucky fellow. ROLFMAO!!

I heard Sprint variant doesn't work with Pak 3G out of the box. There must be some way to activate it.

Well, if it's working at 3G (HSPA) or 4G (HSPA+) speeds then you shouldn't be worried about it. Check data speeds with Speedtest.net app and report.

i want to share my experience with lg g2 32 gb verizon version bought few months ago its working great with no issues like touch sensor heat-ups or lagging fully loaded with apps i am quite satisfied with it battery timing is impressive if compared with previous lg models infact my former device LU6200 had a pain in the ass could not manage to run more than 8 hours so i highly recommend lg g2 if someone has 20k budget for buying a decent phone

was getting 400kb/s speed. and checked on speed test it was around 2.5mbps download and 65 ping to lahore qubee server.

Those speeds are impossible to achieve on a 2G or 2.5G connection.

may be its not an issue of my phone but the area where i am residing.. i live in SITE area karachi. although it shows H+ on my moto g on mobilink in SITE area.

It has something to do with the stock Sprint ROM installed. When I went to purchase a G2 for a friend, the shopkeeper completely refused to give any sort of warranty for 3G on a Sprint model, so we ended up getting a Verizon variant instead.

Sprint has issues with custom Roms aswell Like vertical lines on screen after flashing custom rom, ONE would be better of buying AT&T or Verizon Variant.

those variants have their own list of issues. my sprint phone is best in all aspects but this 3g issue is only thing thats bothering me. although it works with blazing fast speed i can surf videos to but shows as GSM :'( and little disconnection issue.

some people are getting application process killed error while setting up for internet. i am alhamdullilah not having such issues.

I wasn't talking about 3G problem.. that particular 3G problem is synonymous with any carrier based G2. ie my AT&T G2 on stock ROM shows LTE When surfing through HSPA+ .

Some of the Sprint's G2 has a different screen that's what causes issues. they have JDI Japanese panel instead of the Regular LGD. So installing custom roms are a headache for Sprint version. as most roms are compatible only for LGD Panel. So if you install a custom rom on a Sprint G2 it'll cause some vertical lines on screen If the screen doesn't match up.

Though it wont be a problem if you run STOCK rom.

look at this thread, its not an issue with pakistan 3g but so many other users are having exactly this same and annoying issue.
