Thanks alot... Yes was using the 2 4850's but my bro's gpu went kaput.. so gave one to him for the time being.

check ur socket if its like this one then u r good to OC the i5 on this mobo but if u got something like this

the be carefull for OCs above 4Ghz cause FOXXCON socket(the 2nd one) got some manufacturing fault and it burns up with high OCing while LOTES socetk(1st one) is ok and good for OCing.

MSI and EVGA usually uses LOTES socket while ASUS use Foxconn socket.
but some people are also getting LOTES socket on asus boards and foxconn socket on EVGA board.

@MR AFQ... Thanks for scaring me even more bro.. but i already know that.. and I HAVE NO INTENTION OF GOING ABOVE 4.0ghz... and that too with a KICK A$$ cooler.

I did check if all the pins made PROPER CONTACT with the processor, and they did. SO i hope nothing goes wrong.

for GODSAKE!!! almost every socket is made by foxconn if anandtech didnt know this (as i previously reffered to a gigabyte tour post ... that was from anandtech) ... then im afraid how reliable their reviews can be!!!

so stop this reffering to foxconn socket issue again n again!

But after seeing the i5 performance, I can say It might be as fast a i7, but ONLY in Gaming Performance in Presume, as at 4GHz, i7's WinRAR score crosses 5.8k (my be due to Tripple Channel Memory and More Bandwidth of i7) but in Normal Performance, i5 seems half of it.
