Great choice. However like I mentioned, I couldn't go with anything less than 4K now considering Dual 970s is not my permanent setup, when I bought them few months ago I bought them keeping in mind that I will be selling these as soon as the updated versions of 900 series comes out i.e. Ti and all with 8GB VRAMs most likely with better performance and that time I'd go with 980s or whatever top of the line card in dual SLI as I'm against anything over 2 cards in SLI.I had similar options but I went with the ROG swift simply because of 144Hz. 4K res needs too much GPU power at the moment unless you can cough up two 980s.

So considering all that, 4K was viable choice for me because I can play games at Ultra even with Dual 970s but not with 60fps at all times in all games but reaching 45-50 constant fps is neat enough in games like BF4 etc. So once I get the new cards when they come out, 4K at everything max will be a bliss for me
Also like I mentioned, I'll be joining you in ROG Swift soon enough but with the 4K panel that's coming out in few months, probably 6 months or so? unless something better is there at the market at that time

For me, I am not just a causal gamer, I play competitively online in games like BF4, COD AW, TF2, CS GO, so for me coming from a 120 Hz monitor, I was at least going after a higher refresh monitor. ROG swift simply had everything for me since I never buy dual cards and with a GTX 980 I am able to power through more than 60fps on a 1440p res which is really good coupled with g-sync offcourse
The next upgrade for me atleast would be when we start seeing higher refresh rates in 4K monitors that currently are stuck at 60 Hz

Sadly games are so badly optimized for PC nowadays that even 140Hz feels like a waste but when you get a game that actually does it justice then I bet it's heaven

- Yeah, I took couple days to use it and then create a thread so I could give a detailed review about it as well of how it works out for me.I have to say at first when I started using 4K it was kinda hard to read stuff without scaling but now I'm getting used to it, even though I'd love better scaling option in Windows 10 but it'll be not that bad if I actually get used to it but nevertheless eagerly waiting for Windows 10's 4K support
