Unable to use ptcl DSL

I 'm unable to use ptcl Broad band since after i changed my wireless password. Can anyone give me hint "what is PPPOE username and password". I input these parameters written on my ptcl modem box, as it asked me to input these parameters to change your wireless password, but since then i'm unable to open any site.My Router is Tenda W150D

Usually your username will be (your telephone number and password 'ptcl'), if its not than call at 1218 and get your username/password from there.

Changing just Wireless Password has nothing to do with Router's Network Settings.

PPPOE = Point to Point Protocol Over Ethernet

Your VPI/VCI Settings are correct i.e. 0/103.

Now all you need is YOUR PTCL Username & Password. You can get these easily by either calling 1218 or by visiting your local exchange (where they can set up the router for you).

Guyz,I 've input right parameters for PPPOE Username & Password, but still problem persists.Kindly, guide me, i'm new to PTCL broadband . Did you tried by manually Assigning IP to your PC through LAN or Wirelessly if not then try that as well, then report back.

I don't know this IP thingy. All i just know is everything is set to automatic, as i was told by ptcl.

Yar to scumbags dont no a shit about how to configure a Internet when its not picking up any IP or picking up an IP but gives limited connectivity for its best for you to put Manual IP address rather than just wait for stupid automatic IP.

Here's what you need to do: goto Network and Sharing Center there click on either Local Area Connection or Wireless Area Connection whatever your using, then goto its Properties there you'll see TCP/IP Version 4 double click on it, there a new window will open simply now what you need to do is just put the following ip's.

In IP Address Field: 192.168.1.105
In Subnetmask: 255.255.255.0
In Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1

Preferred DNS: 202.125.132.12
Alternate DNS: 8.8.8.8

and here you go all done, if by any chance your problem still exists then PM me so that I might guide you in detail.

I got my net back. My VPI/VCI Settings is 8/81 ,that was the mistake

Can someone solve my speed issue problem as well? I'm subscribed to 4 Mb but getting
bandwidth 2.75-3.20 Mb.I'm almost 1 Mb short

A lady respondent told me to select these setting.The moment i pressed save , i got my net back.I also heard same"ALL ptcl devices use VPI/VCI of 0/103".Thing is my router showing my connect status unconfigured, though my net is back.
V poor customer service, they recieved my call after almost 1/2 hour.Also registered complaint against speed issue.

AFAIK, ALL PTCL Devices use VPI/VCI of 0/103.

People with fiber optic connections have to use 8/81,i.e not all ptcl connections ara 0/103

[MENTION=49316]Passionaire[/MENTION]! Download through IDM/DAP (any downloaded) and check What speeds you get. In my experience, Speed Tests and Network Status (in Modem) shows the speeds to be much less than a 4Mb connection, but you do get full speeds i.e. 400KB/s Download & 100KB/s Upload.

Having problems with my DSL router settings at times

I am using Tenda w150d. At times, though my internet connection is working but i am unable to browse the websites. instead of the website i come across the page of 192.168.1.1 asking me for a password. i have tried all default passwords but it doesnt work. can i get any kind of help in this regard?? i have attached a screen shotView attachment 76940
