@Badmofo: Oho, practice time hain! Zaair's picking it back up as well. He was curious what your level of play was I've recommended this many times before, but if you drop by sometime I can help you go through the cast and pick a team that you're comfortable with. I'll even make your BnBs for you! I love making teams, but learning more than 3 is a bit of a pain Offhand, if you are running Hulk as the 1st just get a good ranged assist to get-in and a lock-down (something which keeps the opponent in blockstun for a while) and you should be good to go.

yum yum fresh meat well its good zaair is picking up the game again , good for the community. You are absolutely correct my motivation level went down the drain after playing this game online , so i will be refraining from playing it online from now on.

Hah! Ran into Zaair the other day, I told him about all the UMVC he was missing out on.

I won't be in Lahore this weekend, but if you guys are still brawling later on Sunday evening I'll try to make it. I know I've said unis before, but now, NOW, I really have found new love for UMVC.

Abegen's team has godlike synergy. I didn't see it at first, but I started noticing it during that Strange vs Abegen video. I can write essays why this team is so amazing. Its one of my favorite teams now too
Thor's building meter off DHCs than losing it, One Hit Kill with every character, Thor and She Hulk inescapable setup :bow2:

I tried replication the setups with different members of the cast, but the best I got was Tron DHC leading to three evidence pickups for Wright or instant level 5 for Frank. You really need both Shulk and Thor to do each of the setups Abegen does

Hahaha, working on a new team?! But you have such good ones already Guess who else is working on a new team...ASAD and WALEED (who just bought umvc3 and has gotten really into it).

I think you should try a Frank West team, that shopping cart is pretty amazing as an assist and he can pack a real punch when leveled up (with long combos, I know you enjoy). Other than that, anything specific you got in mind or are you just looking for character suggestions? Would also be really, really interesting to see someone pull off a Phoenix team. X-23 has some really neat jump loops if you're interested in picking her up for the free kill on the second character

wow waleed got umvc i guess that meet at EV was the last nail in the coffin . Great work Du , we most certainly have a good community brewing up for umvc3.Well u know my playstyle more then anyone here, love getting in peoples face and dont want to play a keepaway game.

Neat combos i checked em earlier when you posted em. The problem is this game is getting boring for me since i have been playing the same ol team in different orders . The cappy team brings a breath of fresh air but there is so much i can do with that team apart from showing off some flashy cappy combos . The problem is the team is just so simple to play with , I am trying out Tron, Doom these days and trying to figure out a order for spencer to be on point.

Using the Gunfire assist for Tron and Dooms Hidden missile assist . But from what i have gathered Tron can be devastating with a OTG assist isnt it?

I think most characters can work in this game if you build a team around them. Tron has high damage like all of the heavies and some really extended combos, you could prolly make her work.

@Norcal-Knockouts: Good tourney to watch, watching Yoshi play with a zoning team was such a breath of fresh air. Some great synergy with Spencer too, might want to give it a lookie. If you want to try a heavy character, Sent is built to kill.

Sent is a bad character, but the drones assist makes half the cast godly. Really conflicting because I dislike Sentinel but many characters I play (Magneto, Spiderman, MODOK) need his assist for the best combos.

Umm he is a little two slow for my taste but yea his drone assists are godlike . Been trying doom for a couple of days now and i got the easy version of the bucktooth loop right on but doing the clockwork combo is kinda hard , always miss the Down Dash + M to do a Tri Dash OTG .

Any tips since you play doom?

I don't have trouble with that part. I have trouble with hitting the j.M,j.M,j.F+H,j.S. I usually botch the height and miss the second footdive. If I do hit this however, I just press d/f+2 buttons to dash cancel footdive, then j.H to fall faster, then just the tridash to OTG. I've started OTGing with st.MK->fw.HK launch since its faster than st.HK.

I don't try the clockwork loop online. I just do one rep of Buktooth, then end the second rep with land, j. mp, j.mp f+HK xx cancel to forward dash, j.HK, relaunch

Actually that is the part i screw up as well after the J.M,J.M,F+H, the J.S sometimes misses and if i do the Magic series spot on , i mistime the D/F Dash+M to land faster . I think the timing on doing a Down Dash after the Air S is kinda strict .

Well this is what i say if you dont know how to beat em learn em and then beat em. Pr Balrog going for raccoon seems like a kusora agiogoe ripple effect. Btw i got that clock work combo almsot right now , not 100% but i can land it 5 out of 10 times. Still not perfect but getting there. and Gawd Cappy with Doom = Sick Synergy .

On a serious note, Waleed's game has gone through the roof...he's actually competing with Asad now :S Which is great, because our team format might actually work now!
