Hi guys,

This is Uzair from Transworld, we're working on a package designed specifically for the gaming community out there. Our fibre speeds can enhance your gaming experience to another level, weather you're on a PC or on a Gaming console!

You guys can help me bring this project to reality in a matter of days! whats the gaming community like in DHA Lahore, Islamabad and karachi? How many gamers are out there do you think? what can benefit you the most in terms of internet? will speeds upto 100 Mbps add value to your gaming experience? Will a gaming package at competitive rates and added bonuses sell in these areas? I would love your help and hope to see alot of discussion on this!
Come to Lahore Cantt please!

Online gaming community only wants one thing, low latency.

So, actively solve routing issues and optimize latency to gaming servers by interacting with the community.

Of course it'll help the gaming community immensely, but speeds doesn't matter a lot, when it comes to gaming, it is the case of Ping that we gamers are most conscious about. If Transworld can promise great pings, then for sure, you'll be leaving competition in the dust as we will opt out for your gaming packages.

I'm currently using StormFiber, they are expanding exponentially in Lahore, and you guys at Transworld need to follow suit, not just in DHA Lahore only.

Warm regards
Muhammad Salman.

If you really are working for TW, you should private message me so that we can fix the i3d issue for everyone once and for all.

Currently on fiberlink and getting 28 ms to the i3d.net Dubai servers but hardly anyone else is. I3d have contacted you numerous times but only a few connections were fixed. Please help if you can.

And no high speeds have nothing to do with gaming. You need optimised latency for that. And something as easy as advertising our prefixes which would take 5 minutes shouldn't be that hard.

Got big gaming community is ISB/RWP, but sadly TES is not available in these twin-cities :/

How will we benefit from this? We are stuck with PTCL & Nayatel.

We have a lot of gamers. I read somewhere that we are 2nd only to KSA in the middle east. In terms of who would benefit from ME servers most.

we'll work on your complaint, and i beg to differ on your comment, high speeds offer prompt download and less lagging, PC gaming may be different but on gaming consoles my personal experience is the more the speed the smoother the play. you're right latency does play a role and we will surely work on that. have a great day.

if we go by this rule then 100mbps on fiberlink and double at night should be the best for gaming /'

High speed has absolutely nothing and I mean nothing to do with 'less lagging'. Anything above 1 mb upload and download will be the same as long as the latency is the same.

I doubt this guy works for tes. He doesn't even know that speed and gaming aren't remotely related.

hi guys,

i'm back and i have some good news. i apologise for my former replies as i did not have much knowledge of pings etc since im not in the tech department neither am i a gamer.

So, we have officially began the process of bringing internet for gaming to pakistan for the first time, that means we are going to solve the ping issue once and for all. we a working of integrating servers at our karachi hub, now i dont know how this works technically but all i know is the servers are in the middle east right now but they go through our karachi terminals were they are going to integrate routers so that ping is reduced for gaming. for that they need alot of statistics like on the most played online games in pakistan, that's what my job is.

there are 2 things im looking for:

What are the top games played here in pakistan online both on PC's and consoles.

How many gamers are online in total in Pakistan? on PC's playing games like "dota" or Counter strike and also on consoles.

can you tell me where this data is easily available?

you guys are gamers, you have more knowledge on this then any of us here do. if you can help me get the right stats out, we are not far from solving the misery of every gamer!

Very nice. My personal recommendation would be to start with optimising and learning about servers close by. Valve Dubai server optimisation is fantastic on TW and to the ISPs you provide bandwidth to with pings in the 20s for all in Karachi (+10-15 for Lahore etc.)

Also fixing i3d.net for all your customers would be massive. It includes games such as FIFA, Battlefield and Rocket League. Easily top 5 most played games in Pakistan. FIFA I know is sold at a ridiculous premium in the month of release every year here by big gaming stores and people pay it. Right now of course, we have managed to fix IP pools one by one and for whatever reason according to i3d, TW aren't willing to advertise all their customers prefixes to Omantel which is strange. Maybe because TW don't know how in demand this is or what the problem is. Most people just don't understand how this works so they'll continue playing with higher pings and maybe one or two will give you a call but they won't know the server IP. And maybe one in every ten customer will actually know it but they'll get told by TW that this server is in the Netherlands and so these are normal pings. I know because that's what I was told when I initially spoke with TW on behalf of one of their direct customers. Had to deal with a lot back and forth until I could convince their engineering team that the server was indeed in Dubai and only the IP was Dutch based because i3d.net are a Dutch company. Even from i3d's side they've told me that it's really tough to get through to TW. Obviously they think the Pakistani customer base is big enough to email you numerous times and making sure there is a route via Omantel. So these are things you have to concentrate on. Knowing more than your knowledgeable customers and maybe even learning a big about which servers exists where and their IP addresses. This is a good start.

I mentioned somewhere above that the Pakistani market is 2nd only to KSA in our region.

You can look at the steam statistics page for how many users are playing which game but that is a global players list... Though it should provide a good view as to which gamers are popular as far as games on steam go there are still games from EA on Origin and Ubisoft on Uplay and some other games with their own launchers.

Steam Statistics: Steam: Game and Player Statistics

I can only really tell you what games I think are most played on PC's in Pakistan and what games I play myself. PUBG is really blowing up right now in terms of online players on the pc, Dota 2, CounterStrike GlobalOffensive, Warframe, Teamfortress 2 are also on the top 5 list on steam 3 of which are valve games so if you fix pings to valve servers three of those games will get the same ping (CounterStrike: Global Offensive, Dota2, TeamFortress2) and I would personally like to see Rocket leagues pings also fixed. Other games would be Overwatch and Rainbow 6 Seige.

Also, I know this won't happen but come to Wah Cantt, Punjab, please? I'm a bit tired of PTCl and there is no other ISP here really.
