So I've been using torrent for almost a year or two now. I've a 2MB PTCL internet connection and i used to get around 150-220.

But the problem i'm facing from last week is that my Torrents are somehow locked up @ 30KBPS :S
They won't go above 30, it's like 10-30kbps :/ while download using IDM or anything i get around 220 or 250.

Is there any solution to that? or have anyone else also faced it?

SOLUTIONS TRIED:
Changed P2P Client, used both bit & utorrent.
Called PTCL to check my line, it was OK.
My downloads aren't limited. They're the same as they were before, I checked it again & it's UNLIMITED.
All other settings are same. nothing touched.

Did you try to change the torrent file that you're trying to download? Maybe the files you're downloading has low seeds!

Or else you Go to >Option>Preference>Bandwidth And check if there some changes you've made!

Checked again & they're all fine.

I've tried 10x different files with good decent seeds/peers.

STILL SAME.

Alright If you're using uTorrent then Go to >Option>Setup Guide>Run Test If you see any progress in your downloading uploading speed then click "save&yes"

Let me know if its works!

Have you tried downloading on your connection from another PC ?????
This kind of thing happened to me some time ago and then I found out that WATEEN was throttling torrent speeds.:crying:...... but I don't think PTCL does that. ALso try Encryption in the settings that might help.
IF THAT DOESN'T WORK then download a software called HOTSPOT SHIELD. Install it and then connect it (It is a vpn service). Try a good torrent , If it downloads with a good speed then it proves PTCL is throttling your torrent speed.

yes. zbigz.com is best online torrent client :) but it has a limited file size support. :( it wont let us download those torrents which are bigger than 8gb in size (on free membership)

I was having the same problem recently.... I don't have the latest version i have 3.1.3 build
I changed some of my settings and then the download speed became normal ( 150 -220 kbps )
Here are the pics of the settings... try them, but do remember ur old settings.. in case it becomes more worse :wink2:

Check that the port no is correct... if it is u should see a green tick in the bottom right corner
