Took the FAST NU entry test. Here's my score. What are my chances?

I applied only for BS CS at the Karachi campus.


Here's my score. What are my chances? Asking because if they're not good enough then I'll have to apply for the IBA test. And its last date for submission is before the result announcement date of FAST.

That's pretty good tbh. I had worse when I attempted it 3 years ago and I still got in. Though my advice would be to still apply for IBA if you can, just in case. Don't just sit idly expecting to get into one university because if it doesn't pan out, you can waste a lot of time.

Inter here. I'd say definitely not my max. I started in late 2015, then eventually reduced the preparation as the test and ramazan got closer.

Thanks. I will probably apply at IBA. Better safe than sorry. Their test costs 4k tho 😠

Woah. Started in late 2015? And still not your max. I haven't even scratched the surface and I have a test this Saturday. I guess I'm screwed then. :-/

Oh no no. I meant I did NOT study to my full potential. I could have easily done better.


The test wasn't really that hard. Most questions are based on concepts that are usually hard coded into your mind if you were paying attention during regular classes.


There was barely any stuff based on memorization.


You're probably safe.

I really really hope so. I am an A-Level student here and heard from almost everyone that inter maths is very very hard. Ive been trying to study from ECAT notes (Anees Hussain's) but...you know...himmat hee nhi horahi parhne ki. [emoji30]

Btw...in the English section did Analogy questions came up. Where did group the two words like BOOK:CHAPTERS:: and you have to find the same classification from the given options? Because in their sample test there were questions like that but in their test syllabus there is no mention of analogies.

Anyway good luck bro! [emoji6]

No analogies. Only synonyms and antonyms. Along with mostly using phrases, articles etc to compete given sentences.


I'm not fully aware of the a level math syllabus so can't really compare that. Trigonometry, conics and derivatives mostly comprised the advance math section.

You got around the same score as me. Mine was around 68-70 don't remember. So, I'd say welcome freshie. Although apply for IBA aswell, better safe than sorry

Guys, I gave the test today. Do I stand a chance for admission to the Islamabad Campus?

Advance Maths: Attempted 22/40 , 19 correct
Basic Maths: Attempted 7/10, 6 correct
English: Attempted 19/20, 18 correct
IQ: Attempted 16/20, 12 correct
Physics: Attempted 15/20, 12 correct

Total: 67/79 correct.

I did O-Levels and have an equivalence of 88 percent and IA expecting 3A in A-Level. Does this give me a chance? Thank you!
