Titanic: Honor and Glory

A PC game utilizing Unreal ENGINE 4 to bring a fully explorable, authentic Titanic to life and send the player on a thrilling journey into history.

Platform - PC
Release date - Around 2017

Race against the odds to clear your name aboard a ship sailing into history.

"Titanic: Honor and Glory" will be an adventure game set on board a fully explorable and faithfully recreated 3D model of the doomed liner RMS Titanic. The player will experience the voyage first hand while trying to clear his name of a wrongful accusation.

Utilizing the most cutting edge features of Unreal ENGINE 4, you'll experience one of the most dramatic moments in history.

The player will be able to explore the entire ship, from the top of the fourth funnel to the popeller shaft tunnels below, and every deck and room in between including all first, second, and third class public rooms, corridors, and cabins, and all crew areas and major engineering spaces. Two modes of play will be included in the game-

Story Mode:

The player will interract with historical figures to try to solve the mystery. The player will visit every class and be forced to interract with even the most exotic areas of the ship. Story Mode climaxes with an accurate and real-time sinking of the ship.

Dodge danger and death to save yourself and others as the ship sinks under your feet.

The year is 1912. While on a train from London to Southampton, Owen "Robert" Morgan is arrested by Scotland Yard detectives for robbing the British Museum. Only thing is- Robert isn't guilty. Knowing the real villain will be fleeing England on the Titanic, the player breaks free and stows aboard the ship to hunt him down, bring him to justice, and clear his own name. Hot on his trail, with allies and enemies all over the vessel, Robert Morgan finds himself at the center of one of history's most tragic disasters.

Explorer Mode:

With no time limits, a place to be, or a care in world, explore the ship as you'd like.

Wander the levels of the Grand Staircase, walk through the galleys, take a peek at the engines, wind your way through Scotland Road, mosey on over to the bridge, and explore any class and any room you'd like without the worry of a crewman catching you. Every cabin, corridor, closet, and bathroom will be accessible. In explorer mode, you may even have the option to learn more about the ship in the process through interactive guides, reading material and other interactive tidbits throughout the ship.

FAQ

Spoiler: show

Question - What is “Titanic: Honor and glory”?

Answer - It is an upcoming action/adventure/mystery video game we are working hard to develop. You'll get to sail aboard the Titanic, experience the world of 1912, interact with passengers and crew, see the ship from all angles, explore every deck and room of the ship, and finally, in the end of the game, you get to experience the sinking in real-time. Everything is presented with the greatest detail and accuracy we can muster.

Question - How much of the Titanic are you making?

Answer - All of it! Or at least, nearly 100%, excluding most vents/shafts, tanks and possibly coal bunkers. Otherwise, we will have the entire ship inside and out, from the masts to the keel, and from the Grand Staircases to the boiler rooms. Even the linen closets and bathrooms will be included.

Question - Will we get a demo?

Answer - Yes, there will be a demo of this game as we get to the point where we have a sufficient amount of material to have a respectable demo. As with all games, it will be a free download, though as promised, our donors who gave a sufficient amount to earn the demo perk will receive it ahead of time.

Question - When will the game be finished/released?

Answer - We do not yet have a release date for the game. The project, factoring in a past project as well, has been several years in the making. Matt and Kyle have been working for a long time on their models, often reworking and improving them, and they still have a ways to go until they’re finished. There’s much more that must also be done before we have an extensive working game. If all goes according to plan, though, it’s possible we could have it done by 2016-2017. If/When BSL's Titanic II is built, the game’s release may coincide with that ship’s completion. Again, if all goes according to plan. For now we have no exact completion or release date.

Question - What are the system requirements?

Answer - We do not yet have a solid set of requirements for the game. We’ll know more later on. Sufficed to say, you will likely need a fairly powerful PC to play the game. In the mean time, you can stay up to date and read about the technical details of the process, and gain insight on what we are using. It is likely that the required system specs will be announced there before anywhere else. You can find that page here.

Question - Will the game have missions and a story?

Answer - Yes! The game will feature a story that you can play through. The story is being written by Tom Lynskey, writer and director of the independent films “The Last Signals” and “Belfast Air”, among others. The plan is to have primary missions you’ll have to play through to advance the story, and plenty of side missions you can play around the ship.

Question - What is the story about?

Answer - We cannot say much at this time, but it will be a bit of a thriller and a mystery. The character you will be playing as has been accused by Scotland yard of stealing jewels from the British museum in London, the player must board the R.M.S. titanic to find the actual culprit and clear his name. Little does he realize a few days after setting sail from Southampton England, the ship becomes the center of one of the most famous disasters in history. Stay up to date on information about the storyline by checking out our story page.

Question - Will we get to see the ship sink?

Answer - Yes! You will be able to experience the sinking first hand. You will have to rescue others and save yourself as you make your way through the flooding corridors of the ship and encounter various problems.

Question - Will we get to explore the ship in a “free roam” mode?

Answer - Yes! While the story mode might restrict some areas of the ship, and the sinking even more, we intend on having a free roam/tour mode that will allow you to explore the entire ship at your leisure, possibly with educational tidbits about the ship.

Question - Will you have real-life characters?

Answer - Yes. With minimal exceptions, all characters of the game will be real-life Titanic figures. You will not play as a real life figures, you will be able to befriend them and talk with them. The ship itself will be populated with historical figures, including all the background characters.

Why is it gonna take 3 years to make? :/
No idea.. that is what i found in FAQ..

Question - How far into the project are you?

Answer - Difficult to say, and we progress constantly. Currently, the interior and exterior of the Titanic are slowly approaching completion, with other models following or being done in the meantime. The story and script are in their final phase, but programming and engine work are still in their infancy. If you'd like to see a deck plan of Titanic showing how much of the ship we've modeled or are working on, click here.

Question - Will the game be done in 2014-2015?

Answer - No. Certainly not 2014, and surely not 2015, either. We are aiming to release in 2017 or so. Many people ask us specifically about those two years, as those were the intended release dates for the Lost In the Darkness mod for Crysis. This is an entirely separate project.

Karachi.
I remember (1-2 years ago) someone posted the internal structure of the Titanic rendered in Unreal Engine (or was it CryEngine?). So it is good to see that they are making a full fledged game out of it.

Did y'all see the new Assassin's Creed trailer? They finally made a AC set in Japan & then they put a negro as the male protagonist. Ubisoft is taking cues from Disney, and it isn't gonna end well for them, just like Disney. Go woke, go broke!

if we are moving towards more and more popular trash across platforms that make billions for companies, I'm happy with all the barriers and exclusivity because at least that brings some pressure to create good stuff.
