Thermal tape/pads

I am looking for a small strip of thermal tape to cover my SSD. Anyone in knowledge of that plz let me know how to get it locally if available ... Otherwise it's a cheap $3-$4 item from Amazon which is not worth importing ...

is this thermal tape used in laptops? asking coz my laptop is getting hot so got it serviced today and the repair-wala guy put some thermal gel.

If I use this tape in my laptop, will it have any affect?

i will reply here so that it helps others also if someone needs such help or understanding ...

tapes are used on parts like SSD drives, rams, any other points on motherboard or components on which you can not attach a heat sink using bolts/retention mechanism ... one can also use it instead of thermal pastes but i dont know how much is the difference (linus tech did such test in past dont remember the verdict)
so parts which produce heat and you want to improve their cooling by attaching a dedicated heatsink ... or you want to develop a contact of such device like ram n ssd with metallic body of the laptop or any such other part of a computer ...
it will only work if your laptop has metallic body and ssd ram or any other chip can be in direct contact with it ...
like Macbook Pro or Dell XPS series
it will not work for every other laptop ...

Its the rarest thing in Pakistan just like thermal paste was back in 2008
Instock.pk is a good site their prices are okay too but their site is infected with virus and once you finalize an order you email will be spammed with tons of stupid emails. However i have bought stuff from it many times and the goods have always been good. However the thermal pad they have is very thin so do some search if u want to buy from them.
Second option is OLX i saw an ad from Lahore a person who has thermal pad. It was a big piece and was thick too priced at around 1400. dont know the quality of that thing though.
On aliexpress i have seen price as low as 1.99$ free shipment and 10x10cm piece of thermal pad.

Well the above shows that i was and still am looking for some cheap source of thermal pads too.

yar import kr ley warna if you live in karachi then hunt in electronic market ... so far rare items found is like heatshrinks back when sleeving hype was on pg and like light waley buttons baki i am sure there is 50-50 chance or maybe even less , but then again quality wont be 10/10 , i would suggest import it man stop wasting time
