Coalition is an Unreal Engine dev. Gears hai. STALKER bhi UE5 pe hai.

Masla EGS se hai, and I'll be buying this straight from CDPR i.e. GoG 😍

CerebralTiger ki chhoti chhoti khushiyaaan. Can't hide the sadness of not even getting to experience game changing RT reflections in a cyberpunk universe. As always, he'll be there day 1 for a CDPR game. Because CDPR is inevitable :ROFLMAO:

It covers not only licensing, but technical development of Unreal Engine 5, as well as potential future versions of Unreal Engine, where relevant. We'll closely collaborate with Epic Games’ developers with the primary goal being to help tailor the engine for open-world experiences.
Tim Sweeney, and Unreal Engine, needs CDPR's expertise in creating open world games 💪

I know the console crowd missed out on the awesomeness of next gen Cyberpunk 2077, but try to keep the same energy from the GTA V thread folks.

" Cyberpunk 2077 is the best looking open world game I have seen. "

This partnership will help Unreal Engine 5 a lot as well. UE has barely had any AAA open world RPGs under its name and CDPR will help integrate the features necessary for building one.

Both will benefit from it, but what about the Sweeney haters? How will they save face if it stutters on PC like almost every other UE game? 🤣

I share Alex's disappointment. Cyberpunk 2077 is (on PC with the suite of RT features enabled) indeed the best looking open world game, but only in screenshots lol. In motion, the poor NPC animations, the exclusion of V from the BVH, and lack of decent world simooolation leave a lot to be desired 🤷‍♂️

Can't blame the engine for those shortcomings, though.

RPGs or not, it does have open world games under its name, one of which is out today for deluxe edition owners 🤷‍♂️

"almost" LMAO, atleast CerebralTiger acknowledges that the issue lies with the developer (and partly the engine), not the platform 🤷‍♂️

CDPR will benefit in terms of easier recruitment of talent, and lower engine maintenance costs.

Cyberpunk is indeed the best looking open world game in motion as well. The bar for first person games has been raised 🤜

All of which had to be "heavily modified", proving that UE lacks the adoption for open world games. About time CDPR integrates the important features that UE has been missing for open world games 🤜

I mean, the Matrix Awakens demo exists, and it does world simooolation better than Cyberpunk 2077. If anything, it's CDPR that wanted to leverage tech like MetaHuman to speed up the development of their game. Though, The Witcher is a medieval fantasy game, so they'll likely be developing the engine to accommodate a non-urban open world setting. Nanite is currently problematic with foliage, for example.

It ultimately benefits both entities 🤷‍♂️

I mean, adding something as trivial as package delivery from point A to B would've qualified it as a game (possibly a better one than Death Stranding lmao). The demo is 'game ready', for all intents and purposes 🤷‍♂️

As Alex alluded, the Red Engine wasn't exactly the source of CDPR's problems. The studio over-promised and under-delivered with Cyberpunk 2077, plain and simple. Necrokiller wanted to place them amongst top-tier studios like Nintendo, Rockstar, and Naughty Dog. Woh tou nahi hua, but another tarnished studio rose from the ashes to take its rightful place among them instead. Poor CDPR 🤷‍♂️

Necrokiller should decide if his criteria for GOTY is now DICE/GDCA/BAFTA, because if that's the case, CDPR never won a single GOTY. And regardless, Naughty Dog still won 2, thus remaining in the top-tier list 🤷‍♂️
