This is yours? When they had the cable out, I was getting 0 on DL. Guess that's the way to go. If the cable somehow gets damaged, put it back in the box, call them and get it replaced for free :tv:
Can you show me how the cable looks when it's inside the box? And without it?

Can't join most of the German servers in BF3 and BF4, it says UDP 3659 port closed even though all the ports are open. Working fine on Zong 4G.
Can anyone please ping these IPs and check whether they get any response back as I am getting timed out on all of them.

176.57.170.22
94.250.215.5
94.250.194.157
Still can't ping these IPs and many others nor can connect to them. What can be the issue? Is there any chance I can get it resolved through a complaint?

Problems with breaking of the internet in Karachi since the past 7 to 8 days.

Rumors are that there is a new Chinese firewall that has been put in place within the PTCL data centers, which is breaking websites "randomly."

china like firewall in pakistan from PTA ?
https://www.dawn.com/news/1486777

The system would be called Web Monitoring System (WMS) in order to monitor communications for the purposes of national security, measure and record traffic, call data record, and quality of services as specified by the PTA.
The regulation under the Monitoring and Reconciliation of International Telephone Traffic Regulations 2010 (MRITT) mandates the monitoring and blocking of any traffic (encrypted or
not), including voice and data, originating or terminating in Pakistan. This includes all encrypted VoIP services.
murtaza12 what you think?

Lol. Pehle konsa privacy tha k abhi nahi hoga?

Khair monitoring and DPI of encrypted traffic isn't as easy as they think, but they'll probably just go the same route as China and block VPNs entirely.

Lol I complained for bill adjustment and these guys sent technicians over to replace my ONT.
They said we got 5 reminders to fix your internet issue.

No wonder they never get anything right if they can't even tell the difference between a billing complaint and a service complaint.

Went to the exchange today, according to an elderly guy in the last room on the right of the corridor, it will take no less than another freaking 2 months for lalazar to get fiber. After officer's colony comes Lalarukh. Lol, the unlucky ones.
Lalazar and Basti are not far apart. They can install the connections as they receive the requests from either area. Is it that difficult?

How come you're not using Nayatel?
My parents are very fond of rewind function of ptcl smart TV, plus my tenets are leaving in 6 months ill have nayatel setup for free. My point is that PTCL is not serious in expanding network in Islamabad let alone other cities.

Lmao after the technicians left this morning, the connection died again.
Sometimes I feel like they just fuck up something themselves out of spite.

Anyway, service closure request submitted.
Let's see how long it takes them to call and 'apologize'.

...and I wonder why Stormfiber doesn't see the blunders of the existing ISPs (Nayatel being expensive, PTCL being... PTCL, Transworld being in 3 localities in Pindi only), given that these guys (SF) also have their own TV set up, and seize this opportunity. I mean, Cyber Net is an established name now.

And SF is in a number of places already - just not in the twin cities.

SF do make many blunders. They're not perfect either. After all, they're also kaam chor Pakistanis.

There's a group on Facebook called Tech-Aches. Every other post is either a complaint about Fiberlink or StormFiber. There are many SF supporters there who swear by it, but the same can be said for Nayatel, and TES and so on.
Heck, there are even Fiberlink supporters in that group.

Been using stormfiber since 2 months now. Never faced any issue. Infact asked their NOC team to change my upstream during chand raat from PIE to TW on email. Next 20 mins I got the mail that they have configured changes against my link and VOILA I was assigned on tw upstream in next 5 mins. That's how their customer support entertains you.

Getting NOC in a country like Pakistan is a painful process. There are hundreds of challenges and don't forget the PTCL monopoly which comes into play. They are covering areas of Lahore and karachi on daily basis. Even fiberlink who launched way before SF haven't covered much.
