Not OP, but I've noticed lower pings on my connection as well (fiber). And Fastly servers in the UAE are now ~50ms (previously, they would be either 150ms or 300ms).
Pings to Europe have been lowered by around 30ms or so as well. Not sure what they're doing, but damn, they're doing good.
