The D-Link modem has issues with random connection drops, but a firmware update did fix it.

On a side note, PTCL needs to stop giving N300 routers for high speed connections, they should supply dual band modems for connections of 50 and 100 Mbps.
firmware was updated but still it hangs occasionally but was working okay since couple of years

should i get it replaced with ZTE one

If you want to, then go for it.

Otherwise I'd advise putting the VDSL modem in bridge mode, buying a decent router and dialing PPPoE from that.

what is the benefit of bridge mode instead of using modem for pppoe requests?
If you don't put the modem in bridge mode and use a router with it, you'll have issues with double NAT due to 2 different private IP pools.

PTCL VDSL 20mb can't stream Twitch on 720p while my crappy Ufone 3G streams Twitch in 1080p 60fps. What the hell?? How is this possible? Even browsing is bad on Ufone but it handled that HD stream like a boss. WTF??

I think that's because the DNS server is taking you to Hong Kong's server (since the internet perceives that to be closer...whereas it's not). Google's DNS server redirects you to Hong Kong's server as well. Try using a DNS server that takes you to the Singaporean mirror.

I am just surprised that my Ufone 3G which is a pain to browse on streamed Twitch in full HD without any buffering issues.

PTCL has started laying fiber cables in my area. Now I have three ISPs offering GPON services, OPTIX, TES, and now PTCL. The main question is now which one should I choose.

PTCL will be good for downloading stuff, I was spoilt with 100 Mbps when I had it, everything was so quick.

TES is good for gaming and they'll usually help if you're having ping issues to certain servers. However, their billing is worse than you'd expect. Really needs some serious improvement. Packages above 30 Mbps also have terrible pricing.
100 Mbps for 13k? Seriously...

No personal experience with Optix, but my uncle had it when he lived in Lahore. He had no complaints, and from what I've read on Facebook, neither does anyone else.

Judging by your comments I think PTCL is a better option.
