no they are actually right. previously there used to be 2 copper wires, that they used to connect together in a juggar way and make that into one wire at your end. this was done to improve bandwidth as previously single copper wires were unable to provide high speeds.

yes it really was the way to get vDSL in the beginning. but im not sure if they are still doing it. may be possible that some exchanges might be doing it even today. as i have mentioned it many many times already, dont ever underestimate the power of PEETCL! they are they literal definition and embodiment of Unicorn made out of pure light with Rainbows coming out of their mouth, ears and especially asses....

i have vdsl on my old wire they have not upgraded my wire to the new one.

Although there is no joint in my wire, I also checked to whole wire twice today and I seemed fine I don't know what is causing some much drop-age in my SNR Margin and causing so much noise while picking up the receiver. My SNR Margin is varying from 15db to minimum 5db.

Well finally my package has been upgraded to 12Mbps in the morning today, but I'm getting the shitiest speeds ever than before. Torrents speed don't beyond 400 kbps to 500kbps. Where as previously on 8Mbps I was getting around 820Kbps to 850kbps.

I don't know what the F**K did they do and now I'm really frustrated and repenting that why did I placed an order for my current package upgrade to 12Mbps.

These are my current line stats and I don't know why the heck I'm getting the worst speed on 12Mbps ever.

Dont know if it will help u or not but the same shit was happening with me too then i figured out that the small box at the end of telephone wire coming to house (the box before the splitter) was faulty it had too much carbon so i changed it and everything is fine since then

Guys the disconnection issue has likely nothing to do with SNR or a bad line, trust me. One of my friend who is on nayatel is facing the same issue i.e random disconnections that get worse at night. He has been given an ETA of June 1st since PTCL is doing maintenance.

Also it is important to mention that the SNR drop only happens when the line disconnects, it remains stable until the disconnect. E.g see the graph of my line stats.

This is what happens when the line disconnects. Notice the sudden drop.

This is what happens late at night for me.

I am just waiting until June 1st when this issue is supposed to be resolved, hopefully.

Well I get 1.2 to 1.3MB/s on Torrents and 1.3 to 1.4MB/s on IDM. The only problem is my line is pretty f**ked up since three days and the cause of this problem is my DP. My idiot linemen didn't came yesterday and right now I'm so so pissed at him. Now I have to wait till tomorrow.

I was busy with my semester and never got a chance to look at the bill until this month when the DSL charge caught my eye (My father handles the bill payment etc). They have also never update my line profile to 4Mb from my current 2Mb the duration I have been charged. Any suggestions on what I should do?

No, because they had the package changed but your port configuration didnt change, you can try and ask but in my case they refused to refund money
