ADSL_G.dmt... what is that ?? i have no idea what ur talking about ??

and G.dmt.. how do i change it ??? and how should i enable the ADSL2 ?? its time to change the router .. ohhhh man.. honestly im not in the mood of to change the router and spend like 4k-5k !!! :(
Okay, I assume you haven't changed it.
That means your modem may just be faulty.
Modem replacement cost by PTCL will be 1.5k in your bill.

G.DMT and ADSL2+ are different standards of DSL at which the line syncs with your modem.
G.DMT is slower and older.
ADSL2+ is the newest in the ADSL standard.

There is a program for that you don't need to upload. But I think it's against the rules to post such things so I won't ;).

ratio cheating will get you banned in a decent tracker.
I use thegft, ptn, iptorrents and desitorrents. They banned me from revtt for being pakistani.

First of all, they won't. I got 8Mbps too, and they're keep nagging me to drop it to 4Mbps whenever there's an issue since they don't have vDSL in my area. I doubt that they'll allow you to upgrade.
Just placed the upgrade order yesterday to 12mb. i asked them if it will work properly and they were like ' sir apka 8mb sahi chal raha ha to 12mb bhi sahi chalay ga and we have checked ur line stats and they look great for 12mb'.. they told me it will be upgraded in 48hrs.. lets see in how many days they upgrade it.

nice! I wanted 12 Mbps myself, but duh, my area service center sucks then. My 8Mbps works fine here too, but they think it doesn't.

Well I hope so that I may get converted to VDSL soon. Although the CRS on phone yesterday told me there will be two wires coming to your new modem I mean what's up with that ?

For now my package hasn't been upgraded to 12Mbps either I hope it gets upgraded soon.

The CSRs on the phone don't know anything. Makes no sense whatever he said.

VDSL still uses RJ11 telephone line and you'll just be given a new modem (D-Link DSL225).

no they are actually right. previously there used to be 2 copper wires, that they used to connect together in a juggar way and make that into one wire at your end. this was done to improve bandwidth as previously single copper wires were unable to provide high speeds.

yes it really was the way to get vDSL in the beginning. but im not sure if they are still doing it. may be possible that some exchanges might be doing it even today. as i have mentioned it many many times already, dont ever underestimate the power of PEETCL! they are they literal definition and embodiment of Unicorn made out of pure light with Rainbows coming out of their mouth, ears and especially asses....

This connecting of 2 copper wires is the desi way of copper bonding to increase bandwidth.

Technically, there are 2 wires inside the casing of one whole wire, but PTCLs top class technicians will just get two 'saada' telephone laaaiinnee and connect them both to give you better speeds.

omg so much misinformation for u here man.... like seriously guys come on... this have some mercy on this bearded dude... :D

bro, your line parameters are shisen. solution? no black, blue, orange, yellow wires needed. and also no need to change ur DSL mode at all. and btw, for all, PEETCL dsl runs the most smooth on G.Dmt mode!

anyhoo, just call ur good'ol PEETCL 1218 fairies, ask them to bless u with filing a complaint that your line port needs to be checked from the fairies at ur exchange. they will give u with a golden ticket number and voila.... it would be fixed by ur exchange.

now u are disrespecting teh fairies... seriously this is not a 'desi' way of doing it. it used to be a proper thing when vDSL was introduced. they did it especially, if u remember, when they introduced 50Mbps package. it was a big thing back then.
what they used to do was have 2 wires connected to vDSL card each give 25Mbps bandwidth to hold, it was actually a very effective way of doing it. i remember using it once it was nothing i ever used at that time. there was this local cable wala internet provider who covered almost all Karsaz & MA society and 50Mbps was like fast.
so technically it used to be a thing.
and honestly i would still prefer to have this method over a single wire connection, u dont know how clever these PEETCL people are! u just need to find the gems in all those fairies :D

Been using it since 2007 never a issue but don't need it anymore because registered with my private torrent website. Can you recommend any good one for Indian movies?

Well finally my package has been upgraded to 12Mbps in the morning today, but I'm getting the shitiest speeds ever than before. Torrents speed don't beyond 400 kbps to 500kbps. Where as previously on 8Mbps I was getting around 820Kbps to 850kbps.

I don't know what the F**K did they do and now I'm really frustrated and repenting that why did I placed an order for my current package upgrade to 12Mbps.

These are my current line stats and I don't know why the heck I'm getting the worst speed on 12Mbps ever.

First of all, give it a few days. My line profile was upgraded but I was still getting 8Mbps until one day I started downloading a torrent and it stabilized at 1.1 MB/s.

Secondly, your SNR is way better than mine but your data rates are strangely low.

My downstream rate: 13509 kbps
My upstream rate: 1402 kbps

Yours should be higher.

Yeah... your line profile is fine albeit slightly on the lower side but fine. What speeds are you getting on direct downloads?

Anyone facing frequent disconnections. SNR remains stable for me until a sudden disconnect. This has been only happening for like a week now. The disconnections are far more frequent late at night, which is annoying since it is the best time for online multiplayer.

This happened to me too. SNR used to be perfectly fine but during late night the disconnections happen for like 10-15 times in a row or more. During disconnections, the SNR takes a nosedive. But would get back to normal ranges. Complained the first time during which it resolved on its own. After a week this problem again occurred so I complained again. Now it's fine. The line was clear when it was checked by lineman. The problem was with the 'pair' or something at the exchange I think.

I've been experiencing the exact same thing! Net is totally fine one moment then all of a sudden 60% packet loss and then disconnect. When it reconnects, same issue. After a while, everything is fine as if nothing happened.

I took screenshots. StrikerX take a look.

Your attenuation is higher than usual, how far are you from the exchange?

A drop from 15.4 dB to 10.6 dB happens to me as well, however my current rate and attainable rate stay the same and no DCs.
I play past midnight and I have no issues whatsoever.
