AOA, guyz i recently got a new ptcl 15mb vdsl internet connection but the issue is that the mode is not changing to vdsl2 it shows adsl2+. I called 1218 and explained them about my issue and they said that everything is ok from their side and said that you are connected to vdsl but when i check statistics it shows adsl2+. Itried everything resetting and did the settings again but idk for what reason mode is not changing to vdsl2.
I have attached some pictures for you guyz to understand my issue...

What modem do you have? Are you sure it supports VDSL?

You should try emailing [email protected] and DM them on Twitter as well.

Yes my modem supports vdsl2
here is a picture of the modem:

You could try disabling ADSL2+ and G.Dmt options to force it to sync at VDSL2, but I highly doubt that will work.

Just keep complaining to their email and Twitter, or go down to the exchange and tell them personally. It'll get fixed eventually. Make sure to emphasize on requiring higher upload speed (only possible with VDSL) so that they actually know there's a reason to do it.

Otherwise they'll just keep blowing you off and saying that 15 Mbps down is possible on ADSL.

Disabling them also didn't work but I'll visit the exchange tomorrow...

They probably never installed the equipment for VDSL in your exchange since they were planning for GPON.

It makes no sense for them to have both VDSL and GPON available in the same location.
i am still getting 300-350 ping for europe and usa on 39.35... what you did to reduce your ping?

email ptclcare or twitter guy?
Nope. I didn't email them. I haven't played any games in the last few days so I didn't notice, but when I logged onto Fortnite the other day, it said Europe (135 ms). Then I checked with all AWS IPs, and ping was back to normal.

This happens often. They mess up the pings and then fix the routing eventually. The time it takes them to fix it varies.
