I am really surprised that you get 120 on hong kong whereas I am getting 300+ on hong kong servers . I am getting 160ms on Middle East servers though . Talking abt BF1 as well

my friend sent me his pie tracert yesterday where he was getting 30 ms ping the one i shared , i sent it to nayatel they did matched the traceroute , but i was still getting 170 ms ping but as a gift for some weird reason my hong kong ping dropped to 120 , i switched to rainbow six siege and even that was connecting me to asia server , makes we wonder if ptcl wants they can really provide us with great pings all around the world but the incompetent bastards dont , i still wonder why ptcl does not sell some gaming optimized connections provide static ip and put a team on who optimizes routes to servers,charge 500 or hell 1000 for it and people will buy them like hotcakes.
Looks like we are making progress, though, that's good!
I have been in contact with TWA to discuss some of this, and I've asked them to advertise your prefix locally as well. I'll keep you posted if we hear anything back.

Yes, we have been doing this too and in fact I've even attended a few meetings in Dubai together with the UAE-IX team to speak to a few of the networks you mentioned.
However, a frequent challenge is that companies land with Etisalat in Fujairah and then it's quite hard and/or expensive to reach the UAE-IX which is in Dubai. We hope to be able to work around that by connecting to SH-IX in Fujairah.
i3d are also thinking of participating in the new exchange in fujairah where ptcl land with Etisalat and TW1 lands. That would take out the necessity of connecting through any other ISP and would fix it for good. Till that transpires we have to wait for Omantel/TW/i3d to fix the return path between them. It can be done and if you ping du.ae we connect through Omantel and it comes back at 20ms. So let's hope for the best.

Your impression is absolutely accurate, and that is how the inbound path is connecting now. As you can see, hop number 10 from your traceroute is through Omantel:

PIE relies on Etisalat and they have major issues. They've decided to not connect at all because i3d games use call like features and Etisalat already don't let people use WhatsApp calling. I'm serious btw. So your fix depends on the new IX in Fujairah where ptcl would be able to connect directly. But that's a long game I suppose.
so that means even if PIE is repaired, even then ptcl wont be able to give us 30 to 50 ms ping to dubai?
