Best Wireless Broadband for DHA Phase 4 Lahore

Folks,

I need a wireless broadband as a second connection for my home in DHA Phase 4. Could you recommend which one would work best (Jazz/Zong/Ptcl 4g/Wateen/Telenor Wingle/Qubee/WiTribe?)

Have been using Jazz 4G device since 6 months, but charged Zong device this month. I have to say very pathetic only getting 2-3mbps speed.

Jazz on the other hand is also degraded but still gives 8-10mbps. This is at Bahawalpur. Zong speed came back after 1.30am 15-20mbps.

Ive noticed Zong using Band 1 for its 4G now in BWP instead of band 3 6 months ago.

If you're able to get the signals aggregated, then your speeds should be significantly better (in most cases).

Bro full 4 bars of signals. Ill try for couple of more days
Full bars don't always guarantee best speeds.

Think of it this way: your car can have it's tank full with petrol (full signals), but if the petrol quality is crap (signal quality), you won't get good mileage.

But if your car, for e.g., is hybrid, you can sometimes supplement the battery power to get better speeds (carrier aggregation).

It's apples to oranges, but carrier aggregation is when the device "joins" two different signals and bands for improved stability. Without it, speeds can be significantly slower. With it, you can sometimes get a big boost even on weak signal strength

Since he is using MBB device, which I am 99% sure does not support CA, he can not get good speed on Zong. To use 4G+ services, he needs to insert sim in CA supported device, which only can be a latest smartphone.

And how to check whether the device supports CA or not?

According to Aamir Ata, Ufone and Telenor rumoured to be in an early stage of merger talks. And Zong is not interested to acquire Ufone due to some reasons.

In my opinion, Telenor-Ufone merger will not help either of the company. Reason? Both companies are facing decline in Voice revenue and very slow growth in Data revenue, since data revenue is future of Telecom business, merged company will still face data revenue issue.

On the other hand, if Zong and Ufone get a merger, it will help both the companies. Zong has very strong growth in data revenue and Ufone has somewhat stable voice revenue (Super Card wali awaam). Moreover Zong has deep pockets to invest after merger, which Telenor doesn't due to its struggling overall International Business. They have sold India business and finding a buyer in Malysia as well. Pakistan business is also reporting negative growth since past two quarters.

Telenor should not leave pakistan, it would end the market competition and innovative growth, currently I find Telenor to be most optimized network of all,

but they need to address their customer services problems

They are not leaving. Its Ufone which is going to be merged with Telenor or Zong.

Oooooooooooof I don't wanna imagine the PTA duty on that.
Don't. Lol

Also, is it CA or 900 MHz being run separately?
I don't know. My mum's phone had it running separately. My phone doesn't want to carrier aggregate since February, so I'm waiting for the March update to fix it.

My phone had it on 900Mhz as well though... Just not aggregated.

Any idea if it's still being run on 3G as well?

Okay, this is carrier aggregation - in several parts of Pindi and even in Phase 8, but not near my place (most likely because of the interference?). 25Mhz combined.

https://imgur.com/a/mZ7D1em

And 3G is on 2100Mhz only (since you need 5Mhz for 3G, and the aggregated 4G is 20+5Mhz, so it's either this or that... And while I don't care much about 4G at my place - even though it's plenty fast at crap signals - I'm glad I can make calls in case of an emergency).

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
