Which server do you use for speedtests on Mobilink?

I haven't been able to get more than 10 Mbps on postpaid Mobilink 3G. It seems that I am still capped at 8 Mbps sometimes, the speed really sucks to be honest in most places. Even with full bars, it's quite disappointing most of the time.

Then it might be that the bts you are connected is conjusted or having low bandwidth. Cz the speed on speedtests that i m getting is just from past couple of days previously it used to houver around 10mbs and if u think u r jinxed then try a speedtest with a different number.

Got one problem there is no lte option in my s5 duos with this new lte mobilink sim but can select through advanced signal status.
The problem is just with this mobilink sim warid and zong sims show option to select lte from the default software. Any help in this guys.

I am not into gaming,i just download,browse,youtube etc,i found ptcl 1mb for Rs.1800 ridiculous and overpriced,i think Rs.2000 for 50gb is a fair deal by zong mbb? my bro got zong mbb and laptop via PM student scheme from uni. @murtaza12

No need to worry I'm on the same boat as you -with a Mobilink postpaid number with a 4g sim enabled and activated but only running 3g.

I've also been testing 4g on two other numbers of house members and 4g works fine for them. Same location.

Anyone offering 200gbs lte for equivalent of 850 per is fibbing public. This is not sustainable due to cost and service would be shocking.

More confused now. Yesterday 111 rep said my SIM is not LTE enabled. Today I called again and after 5 mins of being on hold, he said my 4G is activated and I have 4G SIM and I should restart my phone to get LTE signals. I already told him that I'm not getting any signals and he said to visit the same office where I got my SIM and they can help me.

Not exactly magical. My old prepaid Warid SIM is about the same as my Mobilink 3G except it has really good upload speeds, of about 12-14 Mbps (sometimes exceeding download), but the download speeds are around 9 - 12 Mbps usually, on the Lahore Warid server.

That makes three of us.

All are SIMs are LTE enabled, confirmation from a 3111 or 111 rep confirms that apparently 4G is activated, but none of us are getting LTE signals, and I can't even force my phone to Warid.

I got the number of the rep who converted me to postpaid, will call him tomorrow during office hours to see if he can do anything.

You can PM me your number if you want, will ask him to try and activate it for you if it works for me too.

So today I got my own BB curve 9300 from friend of my friend with the exchange of burgers [emoji14]

Than I went to Jazz office faisalabad and asked them for a new postpaid sim and BIS activation. And they were stunned by hearing blackberry name. The guy who were issuing token called another representative and inquired about BIS. He was also clueless about BIS. And I was feeling like I have ordered a biryani at KFC [emoji14]
Than he took me to their supervisor and he also said that we have never activated BIS since years so let him confirm first, He asked from his another colleague and he said BIS has discontinued since 2014. I said my so many friends are using it, I also called to [MENTION=36166]iNCEPTiON[/MENTION] there and inquired about BIS again. He checked his number from system and asked me to call help line 120, but it didn't connect from my Prepaid number. Than he called from his own postpaid number and asked from help line about BIS and they said BIS is very much available and can be activated agaisnt 2000 security. Than he showed me numbers and I select one. But at the time of activation system said I have already 5 sims on my CNIC. I said I have only 4. He showed me on system that I have 3 Zong numbers when I have only one. So tomorrow I will go to Zong first to ask them about other sims and will get Jazz postpaid sim tomorrow.

I had also an option to convert my existing Jazz 4G sim to postpaid but I believe that prepaid sims are capped after seeing [MENTION=9492]digitalism[/MENTION]'s speedtests. And I don't want my postpaid sim remained capped even after converting to postpaid like [MENTION=42544]murtaza12[/MENTION] is describing. So I will wait for two more days to get postpaid sim.

[MENTION=10400]murtaza[/MENTION] pretty much the speeds you are getting on Warid right now is what you will get on Mobilink 4g. At least that is what is happening at my house. There is no difference. Same thing but different.

I got my postpaid number only this morning. I've spoken my csr since and he is saying it's happening because of the soft launch. He has 4g activated and enabled from his end and to give them a day or two to sort things out. I'm not all to fussed about it anymore.

When I said will you give me 4G sim he said sir currently only prepaid new sims are being issued under 4G. This postpaid sim is 3G but you can replace it after activation if you need 4G.

I suspect this is what happened with me as well - when I got the SIM, it said Jazz (which are presumably the 4G ones).

When I converted from prepaid to postpaid, I got a SIM that said Mobilink (which are presumably the 3G ones).

And yesterday, I got the 4G one (which, again, says Jazz).

I think this cycle is unintentional - probably because I didn't ask them to give me a 4G SIM (and at that time, there was also no news on the 4G launch).

So to sum it up, if the helpline is telling you that 4G has been activated against your number and that your SIM is also 4G, but you do not receive any 4G signals, then your SIM is NOT 4G-compatible, regardless of what they tell you.

As I said, I only found out when I went to their service center my SIM wasn't 4G compatible because it showed on their screen 4G was deactivated due to the wrong SIM type.
