Around 3g speeds: sometimes 900KB/s, sometimes 2MB/s. This is based on the speedometer I have installed on my phone. Haven't actively gone out to do speed tests.

I'm getting 1.3 mbps max on Mobilink 4g on torrents. Netflix and YouTube I believe are being throttled.

If they weren't I suppose we would all have lower speeds of 4g.

I'm getting 10-13mbps download on Mobilink 4g and 6-7mbps upload speeds.

How low are the speeds on YouTube and Netflix? If they're around 6Mbps, then that's perfectly fine for streaming 1080p content without buffering... On YouTube, at least. Netflix might stream 1080p on those speeds (I'm not sure), but it'll certainly do 720p.

And when you sit some 8 meters away from a TC screen that's only 32 inches wide, then 720p and 1080p don't really make a difference, realistically speaking. We don't have magnifying glasses attached to our eyes.

Which server do you use for speedtests on Mobilink?

I haven't been able to get more than 10 Mbps on postpaid Mobilink 3G. It seems that I am still capped at 8 Mbps sometimes, the speed really sucks to be honest in most places. Even with full bars, it's quite disappointing most of the time.

I'll run a few tests tonight and get back to you. For now netflix looks a bit grainy and I suspect it's not running in even 720p but I'll still have to check to make sure. Oh wait I just remembered Netflix is streaming at max 4 Mbps but drops down to 1.5 Mbps. I'll get hold of another software to check again.

I suspect the throttling because when I use to have a 16mbps ptcl connection the picture quality of netflix use to be way better than what I have now on a 13 mbps 4g connection given that we use only 6-7mbps for full HD viewing.

Youtube plays in 480p usually while surprisingly on my dead slow 3g connection of 2.5mbps I use to be able to watch in 720p!

I have only watched netflix on my laptop but haven't connected it to the TV yet. Our eyes can only see so much certainly and aren't magnifying at all, you would be surprised how inaccurate our eyes can be. hahaha!

I'm throwing this in for others not you [MENTION=63376]shaheerk[/MENTION] because I can't be bothered writing another post. If people are getting 15+ speeds on Zong or Mobilink 3g keep using that because you will feel disappointed when you use Mobilink 4g.

Initially Mobilink 4g will not be able to offer such high speeds and deserve a fair go so don't raise your expectations so high that you feel miserable when you don't get what you were intending for. Use whichever service that works best for you.

If its not your sim why do you want to have it blocked? Just break and throw it away. After you have it shut down you wont be able to get it back anyways so just throw it away.

Get the device from zong business centers.

Who said u can't get zong device
On one cnic 5 voice sims and 3 data sims are allowed zong device sim is counted as data sim .

You still can able to get Zong device. Zong device holds a data sim into it and even after 5 sims you can get register 3 more data sims on your CNIC as per PTA rule.

Anyways, if there are 5 sims on your name and suppose you want to shut down the ufone sim. All you need to do is take your original CNIC and goto Ufone business center, I mean the office of ufone and not the shopkeeper type franchises. Just tell them close down the ufone sim on your CNIC. They will and should not ask you anything but confirmation that your sim has been blocked. You can ask them then and there if your CNIC still shows 5 sims or has it gone down to 4. If its 4 then okay. Otherwise ask them to do it again or check what went wrong.

Where is this mentioned? 1 data sim is one sim. Just saying cuz I recently got a warid data sim and later on voice sim. I had to block my data sim because I couldn't get another voice sim.

Are you able to run a speed test and post the screenshot? What's youtube like? I'm usually only getting 480p till I select 720p- on Mobilink 4g. By the looks of it you are running around 10mbps down?

There is a myth behind that. If you have a 5 number of Voice sims registered against your CNIC you can still get 3 more data sims. But if you have 4 voice sims and you buy a data sim as 5th, it will take place of 5th voice sim spot. And there will be room for only 3 more data sims on your CNIC but not any for voice sim. For 5th voice sim there should only be 4 sims including data and voice registered on your CNIC.
I also have 4 voice sims and 1 Zong data sim on my CNIC, when I went to buy 5th Mobilink postpaid sim yesterday they told me that I have already 5 sims registered on my name. And 2 of them are from Zong. When I go to Zong office today for inquiry of 5th sim, a lady Zong representative on desk told me this myth.
That Jazz supervisor at Jazz center also told me that PTA have issued a circulator that all telcos will unauthorize verified sims FoC from 1st of Dec 2016. I want to unauthrize my current prepaid Mobilink sim to buy another Mobilink postpaid sim. I will go to Mobilink office tomorrow 1st dec and will unauthrize my current mobilink number free because this is a spare one, and will buy postpaid sim the day after tomorrow.

I have consumed my 3GB jazz package. So no more speedtest of Mobilink 4G untill I get new Mobilink postpaid sim the day after tomorrow i.e 2nd of Dec with active BIS.

I have 5 sims on my nic and 1 zong's data sim but system says I have 5. I had 4 before I converted mobilink data sim into prepaid.
P.s every network operator is charging 250rs for number disown.

First i went to a ufone franchise they said u don't know the number u have to go to the main service center.
Then i went there wait for the token so i closed the sim from my name the representative literally begged me to keep the ufone sim.

This is why I am planning a BIS sim with an antenna for Zong Unlocked MiFi. Mobilink 4G plus full signal strenth with antenna. Too much fun ;-)
