So they opted for CloudAir technology for 2100 MHz band. I think its a good decision since their 3G customers are decreasing every month and shifting to 4G.

Now if only they can stop stealing balance and fix their pathetic call quality, and then they'd be a consideration for me to switch from Jazz.

Telco improvements are slow as hell nowadays, all 3 big players are promising big things but none can provide.

Also, to add to the tip from khanorak, a friend of mine visited Ufone office to get a replacement SIM, and the staff there informed him that he can come get a 4G SIM in February when they will begin their rollout.

Sorry I was Wrong. CloudAir can only operates on 2G and 3G or 2G and 4G on a single block of spectrum, or 4G and 5G in near future. No 3G and 4G on single spectrum. This means that, IF Zong is adopting CloudAir, they can offer UMTS and GSM on 900 MHz like Jazz or GSM and LTE on 900 MHz. 2100 MHz can not be used for CloudAir as it does not support GSM and 3G and 4G can not be deployed.

Coming to Ufone, I think they are also adopting CloudAir Technology, they can offer GSM and LTE on 1800 MHz and GSM and UMTS on 900 MHz. The other option they have is to continue offering GSM and UMTS services on 900 MHz via CloudAir along with UMTS on 2100 MHz. And they can fully refarm 5 MHz of 1800 MHz for 4G like Warid by sparing 2.6 MHz for GSM services.

This was taken in front of HBL in Civic Center.

Speed seems okay, but browsing was painfully slow, Tapatalk struggled to load PG, and I couldn't even send a picture on WhatsApp.

Honestly can't figure out what the issue is.

Bad luck :)

Bad network. Jazz 4G is still running here on old Warid towers. Jazz added no new 4G cell site and resultantly their 4G choked very badly. Even Telenor 3G is performing better than Jazz 4G. And whenver you complained to them, all they tell you is that you are in less coverage area and problem will be resolved soon. However we can not provide you a specific timeline. Bullshit
If Jazz 4G can perform ammazing in Multan and Rawalpindi/Islamabad, why can't in Faisalabad? Even Telenor 4G has a stable 10-15 Mbps 4G speed all around the city and better 4G coverage all over the country.

Jazz 4G vs Zong 4G Faisalabad. Zong still rocks in Faisalabad. Location: Kohinoor city

And Jazz vs Zong 4G at my house on my bed. Once both networks used to touch 50 Mbps. Zong is still pretty respectable. But Jazz has become - - - - - -

That's odd. I've used 4G over there and it works fine (I tested last week).

Try rebooting your phone in safe mode and see if it works. Or - are you sure you don't have some DNS settings in your phone messing around? Try using it as a hotspot and see if it still works.

Android Pie brought DNS over TLS support, so initially I thought that was causing it, but I turned it off, and still the same.

Jazz did acknowledge issues in Bahria though, so at least there's that.
