ARRIVAL (2016)
'
... and so they did.'
"
Oh kill me, please. Oh, so f*cking boring. Did i leave the stove on? Wait, Why am i watching this". These are Some of the many questions lurking in my mind during the first 70 minutes ... where literally NOTHING happens. It's the final 30 minutes or so where i actually paid a wee bit of attention. It's
Amy Adams show all the way. I don't want to not appreciate the cinematic value, direction and craft here, because coming from the same director of
Sicario, it's actually excellent. Tension built goes for far too long, and then the pressure is released at once, because '
in your face'. There is a whole 15 minutes or so worth of scene, only to be amazed by the different gravity inside the alien ship. Wow, right? Meh.
At nearly 2 hours, it's quite boring as well. ahem, VERY. So hold your horses till the end, and you may get out 'something' in return. I got, like,
6/10 worth of entertainment. Safe to say i would NEVER watch this sh*t again. Ain't nobody got time fo' dat. Sorry, not sorry.
