Watched Alien: Covenant yesterday. I don't get the hate, I really liked the movie. Yeah, the "Alien" is just the last 15 minutes of the movie but at least this movie was a lot more interesting and thrilling than Prometheus was.

FIST FIGHT (2017)

"Tastes like sh*t"!!

Okay, so ... Vicious Ice Cube, Charlie Day playing Charlie Day, dick jokes, children spewing profanities, all in good humor. Pretty much every stereotype and cliches regarding American Schools are there. I dread to think if children are really this ill mannered in any of the school, let alone American school. Do i dislike it? Ptff ... NO. It was fun. Ice Cube was more expressive here than ever, and i loved him. Scariest mofo in school. 5/10. Oh and letting a child sing "I Don't Fuck with You" even for a movie, HORRIBLE. Please never again. Thank You.

No, its coming june 2nd

Saw "king arthur:legend of the sword" at Universal Cinemas on thursday.

Spoiler: show

well it was 50 percent off at universal cinemas on thursday and today aswell.. so wouldn't miss this as i didn't see king arthur and it was my first visit inside universal cinemas, largest multiplex of lahore with about 11 to 14 cinema screens :) Nice

so i don't know why this film flopped so hard, i mean it's guy ritchie and as soon as the movie starts etc you get that guy ritchie feel to it, that story telling those chase songs and what not... good stuff.

the movie had guy ritchie stamps all over haha, it made the movie quite fun actually for me.. it was serious with humour in it around every corner.

charlie hunnam as king arthur was fine i'd say... saw him in SOA he was good, here he was fine too. jude law i couldn't grasp his character much but he was kinda conflicted it seems..

movie had action alright, the humour YES and CGI was well present aswell on more than one occasion.

the one beckham cameo was LOL...

i do want a sequel to this but by the odds i don't think so it's happening

the space between us: 7/10
the space literally inbetween them :p the movie was that a group of expedition sent to mars to but unknowingly one of the members was pregnant and has baby on mars making its genetic different from earth bone mass density etc so not suitable for earth now kid wants to go to earth and the adventure starts :)

wolves at the door: 6/10
stars katie cassidy and that girl gemma from agents of shield. now while watching i just saw it as a deranged serial killer type movie and at the end it reveals to be the infamous charlie manson murders.. its based on that

their finest: 6.5/10
an ok drama humour movie, stars gemma arterton, sam caitlin and bill nighy, man gemma in unlucky here or the person dating her :p

The Space Between Us
Saw it after reading good remarks by @manigamer and movie was quite impressive for its budget and cast. Quite an interesting story it had which did have some plot holes or stupid logics but man its just a movie. Acting was quite nice but the movie suffered from bad editing decisions.
First two acts were quite good, characters were perfectly introduced and build upon. But last act was quite rushed. I was expecting it to end at the ocean scene in the end but what happened after that, i lost any n all interest and by the end it didnt even matter if the guy lived or not.
Could have been an easy 7.5/10 but bad editing decisions in the final act ruined the experience for me.

L I F E

Well this was an amazing ride. Thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the movie. This guy has out-done Ridley Scott (Alien Covenant) in making an exciting monster in the space movie. It reminded me of Alien 1 and Gravity. Stunning CGI and superb cinematography. Clearly, every movie which has a topic of alien life form, is mostly inspired by Ridley Scott Alien 1, even the opening sequence looks soo much like A L I E N. A-list casting and very nice script. Ariyon Bakare (Hugh) was a refreshing face despite him being in Rogue One and Dark Knight, i couldnt re-call his those roles will have to see those two movies again :)
My fav japanese actor Hiroyuki Sanadaplayed an excellent role (yes im reading their names from IMDB), in 47 Ronin his acting was doomed due to bad screenplay writing and direction but here, his character development was to the point like anyone else. Ryan Renolds was perfectly cast for that role. May be if it was some other less famous face, the death would not be as striking as was his.
Thankfully finally one movie made it logical on how to handle an alien life form. There was a CDC expert and certain protocols set in-case that alien life form is not as cute as it seems to be. True to reality and to some extent to science also. What Ridley Scott keeps on ignoring in his Alien franchise, how elite scientists should interact and behave with an alien life form, Daniel Espinosa (Child 44, Safehouse) managed to do everything right here or atleast tried to do it right. His scientist astronauts looked and behaved like best of the earth in space. They were not stupid like Fifield (Prometheus) who dont even look scientists to be honest :) but like Ridley says himself "made a B-Grade movie look n feel like an A-Grade horror"
But Daniel Espinosa paid attention to every details and crafted every character beautifully. Almost no character felt "disposable" and audience is attached to everyone of them emotionally in just few scenes. No personal conflicts or animosity living in space is shown which is how these scientist astronauts actually are in their true life (like Col Chris Hadfield).
A must watch, i thoroughly enjoyed watching it and highly recommended for multiple viewing. I wonder how someone cooked up this rumor that this movie is prequel to Venom. But i do want to see what happens next Life[SUP]2

opethian what happens next is we got a venom movie :) from sony thats what and it was announced just as LIFE came into theaters hehe

Saw "Wonder woman" tonight at cinestar imax

Spoiler: show

Ohh boy this movie has outdone itself , i wasn't having much hype for this only after reading the critical success it's getting and what not but it kinda exceeded my expectations. great editing and pacing... clearly tells it apart from bvs or SS.. yes those movies had issues with this part quite evidently.

gal gadot as wonder woman man oh man it was awesome, the movie starts with the origins and slowly and not rushingly moves forward and picks up pace and the ACTION WAS remarkable man. sure CGI could be seen at times but man it was AWESOME

the whole villain and such not shown in trailers etc was awesome,

patty jenkins has officially started the REBIRTH of DCEU and it starts not with batman nor superman BUT WONDER WOMAN !

much hyped for JUSTICE LEAGUE now after this and to think patty almost did thor 2 and was taken down by disney/marvel and than we all know what happened with thor 2 :p

Wonder Woman...................(8/10) watched in IMAX 3D at Vox Cinema, Dubai. Action was quite less though but still Gal Gadot kicked some serious ass, CGI was quite poor specially in one particular scene, but still had a nice time watching it!

Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 2................(9/10) watched in 3D at Vox Cinema, Dubai. OMG such a hilarious movie, the whole cinema was laughing like crazy, plus extra point for cuteness of Baby Groot, action awesome as well, must watch!

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.

About the Microsoft (and Sony) debate, I feel both have become too greedy and losing their minds over corporate greed. Personally, I will never buy any console next gen and switch to PC gaming where democracy reins.
