Spoiler: show
I was hugely disappointed when Bryan Cranston character died early on though since he was the best in the movie.

The characters could have definitely been better, I agree. But after re-watching the movie three times, they don't really bother me that much now. :p
Dude, they had Ken friggin' Watanabe and the best they could manage for him was a 5 minute exposition scene and some quote about letting them fight, the only other times he appeared on screen were to stare at things.

They had Bryan Cranston and the best they could manage for him was a silly dad role not much different from what he played in Malcom in the Middle and even that didn't last too long. Oh and I was wrong about it being 20 mins up there, including the fin shots, Godzilla manages to show up for roughly 11 minutes.

That has to be the hallmark for wasted potential. My expectations were pretty low but it managed to undershoot even that. The movie was a summer action blockbuster, not a Godzilla film.

Wasted Potential of great actors, I agree. But like I said, it didn't really bothered me, especially after multiple viewings.

Spoiler: show
Bryan Cranston character's death always does though. Just wanted more of him.

And whether it was 11 mins or 15 mins or 8 mins or 20 min, it definitely didn't seem that low. I honestly went in with low expectations considering the reviews and lack of Godzilla comments everywhere, but instead had an EPIC time at the cinema. My favourite theater experience after Dark Knight Rises.

Jurassic World
What a disappointment it was.
Worst concept it can be, now they have started modifying them so expect some really stupid movies like Godzilla sleeping with T-Rex n giving birth to Rexzila (wonder how Rexona was made)
It lacked everything which Jurassic Park had. What's with killing these characters without even giving them proper screen time, who wrote the stupid screen play man. Movie was just a gud time pass, it won't be anything which our kids would remember n wait for its sequel like we waited anxiously.
Just a bare 7/10 and that's because it had T-Rex. Poor camera work, camera angels simply failed to show the scale and vastness of the park, size of scary dinos, except one odd scene which could have been a good intro scenes but they went unnoticed when pitched in the middle of the movie.
I was expecting sequels or reboot can never be as good as originals but I wanted this to prove me wrong.
"Star Lord" (Chris Pratt) is new Hollywood golden boy, he looks cool in every role n I wish he is casted as Indiana Jones or as John Carter :)

Guys it's that time of the year when I have nothing good to watch and loads of free time. Could you recommend me some recent hidden gems, that didn't get the attention they deserved. Any genre except horror, am in mood for adventure or romance though.

On earth...Lahore
saw "ANT-MAN" AT cinestar IMAX in IMAX :D 3D

man this movie is quite fun, for a change the superhero is quite different not your typical goody two shoes but rather a known robber sorry burglar :D hehe

michael douglas is the real antman aka hankpym and his time as a hero is over well coz of age and other factors but let's not divulge into that so he picks the next in line for the antman suit and it's scott lang (paul rudd)

movie's quite good with a capable story and most of all good humour.

evangeline lilly as pym's daughter and also trainee for scott lang get along just fine :)

now as i said not your typical superhero but movie is unlike other marvel superhero movies too kinda. it's basically a heist movie :) and a good one at that too though those scenes were kinda rushed imo like stuff happening too fast but you get the point none the less.

michael pena was another guy in this movie who stood out on his own with his humour and stuff ahaha

stan lee's cameo is too look out in this one :D ahhaha awesome

that one fight scene in this is awesome with a certain someone we know already :D and was a good surprise not shown in trailers :D

i waited till the midcredits and which shows us the future for antman sequels but damn it i forgot to f**ing wait till post credits where the actual awesome scene was :( damn it DON'T YOU MAKE THAT MISTAKE ":(

FUN STUFF do watch in cinema (y)

Nothing like the summer for movie watching, I guess..

Here it is:

Slow West:
A western that even those who hate this genre will love. Michael Fassbender and Ben Mendelsohn are pure magic.
Wild Tales: An anthology of few stories related by threads of revenge and justice. It is foreign cinema at its finest.
While We're Young: A great light movie what it means to grow old in the 21st century.
My Favorite Year: One of the most fun movies out there. Peter O'Toole is a legend.
The Friends of Eddie Coyle: 1970s. Cops and Criminals. Snitches and Gangsters. Robert Mitchum as a man trying to go straight. What's not to like?
Murder by Death: A who's who of detectives (spoofed! Poirot! Miss Marple! Sam Spade! Nick & Nora!) gather at the mansion of a derange billionaire to solve a murder he had orchestrated. I have not laughed so much in a long time.
Into the Wild: You probably have heard about this movie. Watch it for the infinite zest this movie has for life.
Wild: It ain't no Into the Wild, but it is damn good and Reese Witherspoon gives a performance of a lifetime in a career that was quickly dwindling.
Two Days, One Night: Marion Cotillard in her native French language. A human drama that makes you think.
Beyond the Lights: Celebrity romance has probably not been done better.
The Rewrite: It is a textbook rom com starring Hugh Grant and future Aunt May Marisa Tomei, but damn if it isn't charming and likable.
The Riot Club: Anybody who has ever been a part of a group or club will relate heavily to this movie.

Dark Sith Everyone has a right to like or dislike anything uncle n my "hatred" is just because it fails to impress me as a Jurassic fan, at least previous movies did 60-70% justice to the novel's epicness despite limited technological means from today's standards
These days when movies like Interview is a hit at box office and The Way Back don't even get any recognition you can't justify quality of a movie based on that. Yes kids will definitely love it, and those who r watching a dino movie for the ist time in their life and I gave it 7/10 uncle. At least I'm growing up n with age my taste is improving ;)

Thank you, these were exactly what I was looking for, true hidden gems like two days, one night.

Have put almost all of them on download.

Insurgent

Having liked Divergent and its setting, I was really curious to know more about the world they created. Insurgent starts off straight from where Divergent left off. The team is on the run and are looking for some place to lay low.

We got another A-list actor in this movie, Naomi Watts, who plays the rebellion leader. So it was Kate Winslet vs Naomi Watts. Her role was wasted in this movie though. Shailene Woodley was again good. I really liked Miles Teller in this. He was again the typical douche bag like he was in the previous film.

The story and pacing this time felt a bit more messy because in the previous film, there was this continuous progression that kept the film together. Here, it felt more like a random mix up of high and low points.

Now, I'm a sucker for rebellion scenarios and not surprisingly, I liked the said stuff here as well and plot points being associated with it. It did felt a lot similar to Hunger Game: Mockingjay story and I assumed it will progress a certain typical path, but the best thing happened during the end when the movie completely did the unexpected, for me atleast, and I loved it.

TA Novel adaptation, you can't do anything to avoid lovey dovey stuff in these movies, lame and cringe worthy. Also, Four's character was reduced to a secondary one. His relationship with his parents could have been exploited to get some more development on him.

The CGI was a mixed bag. Some stuff looked good, while others obviously looked CGI-ey. The dream sequences in particular got too fakey.

Wasn't as good as Divergent but if you liked the previous film, this is definitely a recommend watch then.

7.3/10
