Transformers: Age of extinction
Its ironic that for a film this big, you can just describe it in 3 words.
Beautiful, Massive and too long.

The Decline of the American Empire (1986)

Well, fuck it. If I get a cynical view on love, marriage and fidelity it will be because of the fucking movies I choose to watch. When did infidelity become so common place?

A very well written look at sexual mores in the lives of suburbans, a topic that I find of interest, not the suburbia aspect, the marital fidelity and all. Anywho, this one has some good ideas and it presents them in a fresh way. The acting and characters are really good, and for a movie that is entirely centered around a conversation, that is the key. A very interesting watch. Gives you a fresher perspective. I think I will watch its second and third part some day as well, just not at once.

For comparisons, this is kinda like Little White Lies and The Ice Storm.

Under the Skin................(2/10) apart from seeing Scarlett Johanson naked, nothing else to see lol. progresses at a pace even slower than a snail, boring for me!!!

WILD HOGS (2007)

"Hogs run in packs baby"

Friends Gathering to get away from usual life. Bikes. Open Roads & Long Routes. That feels familiar ... minus the "American" touch. A road movie, with friends having fun until the Trip goes bad. That's the 'adventure' right there. "We are not wild hogs. Wild lambs". And that explains what they really are. A biker gang, wearing a patch made by Doug's wife, who is a boring dentist and he 'Makes kids cry'. Bobby have no control. Woody's ass is broke, and Dudley is ... clumsy. And "Slapping a bull in the ass" doesn't make them any more wild. Go figure.

The cast has very good chemistry and i wanted to see them more and more. Loved Maggie (Marisa Tomei). Prettiest face in the industry. Hilarious faces she made 'when Wild Hogs were “delivering their message” to Del Fuegos' spies in Madrid'.

The thing is, its awesome seeing all of them together, running errands, having fun. The jokes are rare but the situation is almost always wild enough for a good laugh. Talking about jokes, probably the only one which stands out.
Bobby: "That damn Bull kept following me around. You think it was my cologne?"
Dough: "What are you wearing? Rodeo clown?"

Spoiler: show
Not sure what they tried to do with the ending. I mean, boring talks, and lame threats, and the entry of "Blade" ... you can only get pass that 'level 12 of doom' with a continuous facepalm ... or maybe a huge WTF. And Ray Lolita, what a wasted talent, and a stupid character. I read that Doug (Tim Allen) is some kind of Comedian. Well so is Bobby (Martin Lawrence). Since Lawrence is nothing like what he is on stage i.e. he is bland and boring with focusing on just dialogue delivery, i assume same goes for Tim.

I was down for a simple and fun movie, and Wild Hogs did just that. Highly entertaining. 7/10 A Word of advice though, Turn off your brain for it, to digest the lack of script, lame plot twists, homo jokes, and random ups & downs.

The Rover (2014)

Fear the man with nothing left to lose

This is a great movie. Moody, chilly and substantially downtrodden, with a bleak look at humanity. Drawing comparisons to Mad Max as was rightly pointed out by the director that "if you put cars in a desert, it is automatically called Mad Max", this one is bloody brilliant, standing completely on its own.

When humanity is stripped to its very core, it's all about survival. Morality, kindness, humanity, everything cowers in front of man's desire to live. That is the central theme of this movie. Taking place in a dystopian future, that doesn't seem too far-fetched, this is like chaos-monger's dream come true("create enough hunger, and everyone becomes a criminal").

Guy Pearce, who I believe to be a really talented actor, gives a commanding performance here. Stoic, silent, brooding, menacing, it is a man ravaged by his surroundings. Robert Pattison gives what is probably the best performance of his career so far. As a potentially dim-witted young man, all he has seen in his brief life is death and destruction.

Watched X-men: Days of future past.
It is without a doubt one of the greatest superhero adaption I have seen. What was a hit and miss experiment in 'First Class' which continued with the masterful 'Wolverine' and now this sets the bar so high. I am very happy with the new direction of this franchise. The post credit scene was spine chilling as well. The chants of En-sabah-nur aka The Apocalypse and the four horsmen in sight set the tone just right for the sequel.

10/10.

MALEFICENT (2014)

"Whaat? Its Funny".

I don’t particularly like to be Balls Deep in Fantasy world, especially not the in fairy tales'. But Disney movies are like Chocolate for me, sometimes. I can't have too much of them, but i still crave for them. So i don't 'over-think' it, since we are talking about movies. And Maleficent was such a fantastic experience. In many ways it reminds me of “Frozen (2013)” animated movie. Maleficent is both Villain & A Hero at once, and viewers are most of the time doubtful whether to love her all the way, or hate her all the way. There is an ‘act of true love’ … and that’s a ‘kiss’. Oh no, thats not from the 'typical kind' because just like Frozen, it redefines 'True love’s kiss'.

The prince, princess, and King are meant to be important but in reality, they are meaningless. Its all Maleficent baby. Hail the magnificent performance of Angelina Jolie, who even in 'bone dry' face, managed to look stunning. The unforgettable moments where "curse is being set" in King's palace.

"I hate you, Beasty". Her time spent with the “Beasty” Aurora, and 16 Aurora, were the most beautiful, powerful and lovely moments. I would be a liar if it didn’t tingle with my emotions, heck almost made me cry. (don’t look at me like that ~ love for children comes with the age :mushy:). Just look at that kid coming to her, asking to pick her Up ... and then grabs her Horns. Kids ... i tell ya. There is also a slight touch of humor. Just look at Maleficent and her 'Crow' have an argument about "how could you do this to me" lol.

90 Minutes time frame was a good thing. No time was 'Wasted' on puny details, but were not left out either. For example, the 'Cane' of Maleficent, Why 'it all' started etc etc. But thats also a downside because many things feel left-out. Like Aurora who is supposed to be the 2nd most important character, was either running errands, or making happy, cute and innocent faces. But no complaints. And The King. I am not even gonna go in details about how Sharlto Copley needs to go 'bad-ass' or go home. Also,
Spoiler: show
I was expecting “The King” to meet a “live happily ever after” end, or “all debts forgotten” thingy. Didn’t happen. Killing him in that falling down accident wasn't really necessary, IMO. Since Disney is contend on "Redefining" the usual we have been seeing, i'll let it slide :p

CGI is absolutely top notch. On top of that, environments look ravishing. Whether its Maleficent casting spells/curses or turning other creatures into … well, any other creature :p The best part. There is a Dragon. Can't be that bad, right? :D So yeah ... its highly entertaining. Looks freaking gorgeous. And Jolie ... because, Jolie. I think i'll give it a 7/10.

P.S. That "true love" Prince was f*cking Stupid. Hated him.

Honestly, i expected someone 'mature' enough to at least NOT look stupid :S He was like, Justin Beiber's miniature version, whose sh*t you'd want to f*ck up personally and push him off of a mountain <_<

Saw "the maze runner" at IMAX cinestar tonight

Well i have no idea about the books but seems like another trilogy etc like hunger games of kinds but this one kinda reminded me of that movie CUBE ( horror, thriller one ) because of the cube and the mystery and such.... movie's got a story yes and it picks up slowly detailing here and there.

the mystery etc i saw coming though nothing so big but the last part where they detail was kinda new and worth checking out... waiting for the next part..

Sin City 2...................(7.5/10) well I liked first part more, this one focused on one story more unlike the previous part where all 3 stories were given adequate time! But my oh my, the story that was given more time had Eva Green in it, and what a bombshell she is!!! Damn her looks, her body, OMG!! plus 2 for her only!! :wink2:

The November Man.................(7/10) not the best of spy thriller movies I've seen but still had a good time watching it! Got a lil bit boring in the middle but still kept me interested! Two cast members from 007 series, coincidence or not LOL

now this one was a fun movie, a bit of a dark comedy if u may say, starring aaron paul, pierce brosnan and imoogen pots... imoogen and aaron once again after need for speed reunite on the big screen with their chemistry...i dunno much if they have it or not but they did good in this...

pierce making a comeback for his movie career i would say, first november man and now this.

ek villain: 6/10
a COMPLETE rip off form the movie "i saw the devil ( korean )" that is why it got a bit of a decent approach, those indian BS parts were horrible...

Sin City :A Dame To Kill For

boy oh I was waiting for this movie since I was a kid cause that was the time I saw the first one , it's been so many years some actors even have aged , some look better being aged like Jessica alba whoz strip tease were much hotter in this one .
The main story is of Dame basically a prequel that's why josh brolin plays Dwight but they should have included Clive Owen to you know why , well the main story is kinda weak as compare to last sin city one also this one is weak compare to other stories in the movie which serves as sequel , Eva green was hot but brolin looked flat as compare to Clive Owen who was superb in the first one specially that scene with jackie boy in the first .
good stories is of johnny boy played by Joseph Gordon real noir graphic style , nancy revenge story is good but seems like rushed , the main focus story like I said about dame wasn't much strong .

still the movie is pretty good even when u compare it with sin city 1 , I still can't believe why it has been a box office bomb , it should have been successful cause that's mark the end of sin city I guess and we might never see sin city 3 and johnny depp rumoured as Wallace and return of the colonel aka sales man josh hartnett .

@cobby i really liked it too.... meh the critics always influence the audience i believe
it wasnt huge critical failure but yeah it did influenced some what , u see movies like transformers and others ok i will leave transformers out get critical bad reviews but are financially successful . I believe sin city 2 wasnt marketed well enough they shuld have marketed it more , some thing really went bad beyond expectation to studio .

also i am seeing this year has been really slow for movies grossing and making money a lot of movies have gone box office bomb or just gross million or two above their budgets

Yeah, this year has been showing that a lot. Kinda sad really considering many movies were critically successful and I liked/loved most of em too.

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.
