The Last Guardian might not have made an appearance at Sony’s E3 press conference, but that doesn’t mean the game is gone.


Game Informer’s Andy McNamara ran into Sony after the press conference and asked for a status update.


He was told the game was “on track.”


Perhaps we’ll see it at Gamescom, then? Or the Tokyo Game Show?

Tretton just confirmed to Geoff Keighley on GTTV that The Last Guardian is currently on hiatus.

"That hiatus term—I’m not a native English-speaking person—but that’s misleading," Yoshida told me a few minutes ago during an interview here at E3. He'd watched Tretton's comments on Spike.com while eating lunch. "The game is in active development. [Lead designer Fumito] Ueda-san shared updates a few months ago. Nothing has changed. My answer is, 'Yes, the game is in active development.' It’s not hiatus at all. But we are not ready to reintroduce it. When we are ready, we will do that. Please wait."

they're obviously retooling this as a PS4 game now, the fact that they STILL don't have anything to show is what the joke is. At least square showed a very lengthy game play demo of Versus to show that they've actively been developing it.

Yeh. It is now headed for PS4 for sure. Also for the gameplay demo, TGS or Gamescom are the definite events. Sony has shown big guns at both these events. What i want is TLG in launch period on PS4.
