Gainward announced the release of a new Nvidia based graphics card featuring the 8600GT graphics processing unit. Named the Bliss 8600 GT 1024MB TV DD, this card features an impressive one gigabyte of video memory and it is actually a premiere on the video cards market.

Gainward's Bliss 8600 GT 1024MB TV DD is targeted at the middle level graphics cards market that is a much more lucrative business than the slower selling and more expensive high end cards that relatively few computer users are buying. While the extra memory may not help the card's overall performance too much it is definitely a smart marketing move that may boost Gainward's sales on the middle level market. On the other hand, having all that video memory to play with, the GeForce 8600GT might also receive a performance boost in benchmarks and higher resolution games that need and use extra video memory space for storing high definition textures.

As the Gainward's Web page concerning this graphics card is pretty well messed up, it is really impossible to tell exactly the technical specifications of the Bliss 8600 GT 1024MB TV DD card. For one thing, there is contradictory information about the type of video memory that is used. In a place we find that GDDR3 is used and in another it says GDDR2. While GDDR3 would help the otherwise slow 8600GT graphics chip, the memory frequency, assuming that they are correct, are pretty slow, reaching only to 1000MHz or 2.0ns. This memory speed is quite low for the GDDR3 memory that Gainward claims is using, but a hidden overclocking potential may be there.

The GPU, garphics processing unit, is clocked at 600MHz and the whole assembly is cooled by an odd-looking fan with a double mounting bracket that takes up some space in the computer case. For those users that are into multi card setups, the Gainward's Bliss 8600 GT 1024MB TV DD is certified as being SLI ready.

Nope. They have a very valid case. The above video explains it all.

Did y'all see the new Assassin's Creed trailer? They finally made a AC set in Japan & then they put a negro as the male protagonist. Ubisoft is taking cues from Disney, and it isn't gonna end well for them, just like Disney. Go woke, go broke!

Phil should be held responsible for this shitfest too, just like Sarah, but it's highly likely that these decisions are coming from Satya. And this isn't even the end of it. More closures are coming.

if we are moving towards more and more popular trash across platforms that make billions for companies, I'm happy with all the barriers and exclusivity because at least that brings some pressure to create good stuff.

They could've sold the studios instead of closing them, but the nazi bastards just didn't want competition down the road.
