He asked for CDMA Variant of the G Flex (LS995). Most probably Verizon or Sprint. 4G will NOT work.

You confused the guy asking the question when you said L variant, he didn't know you were referring to the Korean L variant.

Most Korean devices will be compatible with 4G.

CDMA devices or any phones from Verizon or Sprint will NOT work with 4G.

its a hit or miss thing . i had lg g flex and 4g worked both warid and zong , u just have to check on spot - i always do that so far the sets in korean which i have got and i can confirm that 4g works are lg g flex / g pro 2 and note 3 , there are various models and companyes , u just have to insert sim and find out,

yes u do need to enter the apn setings for it to work , if all is ok LTE should show meaning it works
I checked others forums and they are ways to enable all lte bands in your mobile phone but that requires your phone to be rooted. I guess yours was a rooted phone.

Note 4 US variant = N910F (International variant) in terms of performance.
They use the Snapdragon 805.

Only T-Mobile and AT&T variants work with Warid and Zong 4G.
Verizon and Sprint are useless and the added CDMA hardware is a real nuisance for a country where CDMA isn't used.

I've tried to port my number from Telenor to Mobilink twice within the past 2 weeks, both times the online help chat rep on Mobilink's website said the MNP request was rejected due to "Sim number mismatch."
What the hell does that mean and why is it so hard to get numbers ported!?!?!?!!?!!?!?

i have a lg g2 verizon and on their site it says,
NetworkLTE, CDMA/1xEVDO Rev. A (800/1900 MHz)*
Global NetworkEDGE/GSM (850/900/1800/1900), HSPA/UMTS (850/900/1900/2100)
in op its written that 1900mhz is lte in pak, so luking at the specs of this phone, mine should support 4g lte

Where does it say 1900MHz LTE?

The VS980 G2 does NOT support Local LTE bands so neither Telenor, nor Warid/Zong LTE can be used on the Verizon G2.

Verizon and Sprint phones usually don't support the right frequencies to be used on LTE networks in Pakistan.

Nope. Sprint phones are completely band locked and they can't be changed on any Sprint phone. I've tried so much to try and enable the disabled bands on Sprint devices, but they're hard-coded into the device's radio module.

Only T-Mobile and AT&T phones will work with Warid LTE.

Apple Store unlocked (SIM free) devices are fully compatible with all Pakistani 2G, 3G and LTE bands.

If you do order from Best Buy, choose unactivated device. They'll send you a SIM free model as well.

murtaza12 I bought an HTC m8 verizon today and everything seems good besides the fact that it loses signal a lot in very good coverage area and the 3g doesnt work. Would you know anything about it? I already have another M8 t-mobile in the house and it works perfectly.

And in some previous post you mentioned something about changing the CID, what is that?

Verizon is a CDMA carrier, so 3G will work but signal strength will be considerably lower than other devices because of band priority.

Try forcing the phone to WCDMA only and see if it gets 3G signals.

You can't change the CID on a Verizon phone because if you do, and try flashing a different RUU, you'd brick your phone.

Thanks for the reply. Can the signal be improved somehow? I myself have an M9 (sprint) and there's another M8 (t-mobile) in the house and both work very fine in Islamabad with consistent signal and 3G. Would the verzion be any different from them?

Verizon and Sprint have different hardware so signal strength will vary.

It can't be improved.
T-Mobile and AT&T Are the way to go if you're getting American phones.

I'm returning this one and probably am going to buy another m8, which might be an American carrier phone. Is there anything specific I should be looking or be worried about while buying a carrier phone?

As long as it's not Sprint or Verizon, there's really nothing to worry about.
