You need to add APN configuration here
Settings >> Tethering & Networks >> Mobile Newtworks>> Access Point Names >> Then press menu key and select Add New APN... On this page, only fill first two lines,, In name, write Mobilink, in APN, write connect.mobilinkworld.com. Now press menu again and select save. You have added APN, just make sure its radio button is selected. REstart your phone and tap on data icon to use 3G (Make sure in network type, you have selected Auto mode OR WCDMA/GSM Auto).

Tried it. Doesn't work. I'm not getting any internet on my sim.

Ur lucky that ur using 3g on cdma phone for LTE i dont think so it support FDD base LTE network
Coz ur phone TD base LTE phone
As most of cmda networks use this technology to upgrade to LTE

Bro 4G will not work on 240L. For 3G, it will run automatically once you insert your sim and select network mode as "Auto". Make sure your APN is configured... If 2G is working, it will automatically switch to 3G once in coverage area.

If it doesn't work in settings, go to the dialer, dial *#*#4636#*#* and press Phone Information, scroll down and select network mode.

tried that code already but as soon as finish entering, it disappears n no menu comes

R u using custom rom or stock?? Try 5457#*350# and u ll get the menu.. look for network mode or RAT Selection and choose network type. If u install a custom rom u ll hav all options in the settings u shared above.

i dont have 4g sim so this option wont consume battery, would it?

Yea thats what I was talking about. And if you don't use 4G then its better to select GSM/WCDMA auto or Only GSM if you dont use 3G either. It will consume less battery.
