I have Samsung Galaxy s5 G900F..the specs show that it's 4g LTE enabled but there is no option for LTE in network mode

Usually its supposed to show, but sometimes it doesn't.
I think it depends on whether your SIM is 4G enabled or not.

Same happened with my Samsung note 3 4G-LTE (SM-N9005). When i bought the phone it was running the United Kingdom region firmware and base band and in network there were two options WCDMA and GSM so what i did is changed the region of phone flashed it to Hong Kong Region now it has fully Working 4G LTE option in networks Settings. And when i searched i found that all people who have United Kingdom region firmware were having the same issue. I hope it will be helpful for you.

can i flash another regions firmware through odin? i have rooted my phone after that im getting the option for LTe

I have lg g2 d802 international version running on official kit kat 4.2.2. In network mode there is no lte option showing up. Only gsm/wcdma are showing. Using zong sim but no 4g signal even in their coverage area.

download ES file explorer from playstore first then open es file explorer tap the menu and turn on root explorer from there.. then after that go to device/data/property find a file persist. radio.lteon then open that file with es file explrer's text editor and change the text from "false" to "true". after all that reboot ur phone once u will get see the option LTE/WCDMA/GSM auto.. let me know once its done
