It means two systems are running on the same ip.....try changing the ip of the other system on the network

check the settings of the router through the router IP i mea 192.168.1.1 or whatever is your ip

yar u seems to be noob in this side. Simply check all PC ip's by going to DOS and type ipconfig. Or find the ip from the network connection/internet connection place. If 2 or more are on same ip, simply assign it with static ip...thats it :/

If you are using WIFI, other computers or devices like iPhone, PDAs, etc might have connected to it.

You may change the IP manually to 192.168.1.5 (but leave the default gateway to 192.168.1.1 and subnet mask to 255.255.255.0 otherwise internet won't work).

This should only work if the person who's trying to use or using your IP has disabled his firewall. Otherwise try different method, Google is your friend.

i face this problem too
my problem occurs because i installed 2 different lan drivers on same window my main pc having asus mobo got troubled then i put my hdd on p4 and intalled lan driver for p4 then i faced this ip conflict issue
