How good are these things?

I checked out gd110 at suzuki motors. built quality is very good since it's made in japan. fuel average is good around 60km/liter. parts are expensive cause they are imported. ride felt good. price however is a bit high but considering the fact that it's not assembled in Pakistan, I'd say it's fair enough. A sensible everyday bike if you ask Me.

Btw a little correction its not Yamaha its DYL. It is no different than any chinese brand 125 out there.

well, if its pakistani assembled, then no comparison with japanese assembled and 125 is a hot target so avoid getting jacked and buy a sensible bike with sensible power.

I don't live in karachi. here we don't have muggings and jackings. the reviews say that yamaha 125 is bits n pieces of different bikes but engine is a replica of cg 125 so nothing different here. gd 110 seems to be good except for expensive spare parts

well, in that case honda 125 is good but heard some complaints regarding tappet or timing something like that, in new models like 2012 2013.

To be fairly honest, unless you've terrible roads and rough drivers and jangli kids, you won't have to buy parts other then those which must be replaced after normal wear and tear. go for gd110 IMO.

I am very much inclined towards gd 110 myself. would be driving it myself and mainly on good roads. but I am interested to see how good the yd 125 looks in real. havent seen in markets so far. atleast not around here in attock

It is a Dawood Yamaha product. Dawood Yamaha is no different to Atlas Honda.

So, yeah, I would call that a Yamaha bike assembled locally, as are Honda bikes.

If you are into looks, the DYL 125 Sports looks awesome.

Ride both, check what the spare parts situation is like, and then pick the one that best suits your needs. Parts and upkeep is not usually a problem if you aren't a jangli rider.

about riding i only need it for a slightly long daily routine (70 km per day). right now i have a rf 70 turbo and at 60km/h it vibrates so much that when I get off my whole body is buzzing.

I don't know if the engine on the 110 is better, but all engines are imported, so I wouldn't think that there would be a huge difference in engine quality.

I would suggest you compare the engine with the previous suzuki 110cs or any other local bike for that matter.

hahahahaha...so true. the only reason why i would never let go of my 125 back in uni days even though its fuel expenses were out of my pocket money.

can't exactly test drive a bike for 70 km. so it would be pretty pointless.

not to islamabad. but it is 70 km atleast per day. prices have jumped but I am thinking of buying on installments.

originally a pakwheels member ..Here are my two cents,GD-110 is a global model and is the fastest bike in 100/110 cc category even gives gs-150 a tough time in quarter mile..I dont race anyways,the engine is great.But the tuning and service centers are limited.Also suzukis have extended service intervals like 3/4k kms which is great option for busy ppl or those who are pissed up by 1k interval tunings.YD 125 is a CG clone so spares/mechanics is not an issue as the 1980,s engine is alive and kiking ass(sarcasm lol). GD is a silent ride and i prefer that (CG 125 gives me a head ache).The seating position is better than CG but height is lower than standard.ANd there are many satisfied customers of GD here.YD 125 sales are low and rare.Btw suzuki spares are the most expensive

Honda pridor is not bad at all.It has the best seating position/comfort level than its 100/110 cc counter parts.

I would suggest you to go for GS rather than GD.Its the best bike price/performance wise
