Facebook guy of stormfiber said that there is no huge difference in latency/pings between TW and PIE and we are able to achieve almost same pings on both routing. Some customer prefer PIE and some prefer TW. He also added that TW has 2 cables out of which one is almost out of life and PIE has 5 landing cables and its quite secure. I showed him the difference in traceroutes/pings of both pie and TW and he said we will try to optimize routing.

Its only in Lahore and Storm rep said they have permanently shifted to PIE and will be doing so in other cities.

They are shifting to PIE because cybernet is one of the stakeholders in setting up internet exchange point in islamabad( part of PIE) . I also deducted from facebook guy that SF have permanently shifted to PIE. PKIXP - Pakistan Internet Exchange Point

I think Only TWA will be on TW1 routing in future. Optix is also on PIE i think .Fiberlink is too unstable. I doubt TWA will come anytime soon. They are available in only 2 phases of DHA of Lahore. Optix is also becoming like fiberlink with long installation times. Though they are good at stability. They too are available only in askari area of Lahore. Stormfiber had atleast better pings than ptcl. Anyway TWA does not have enough bandwidth to scale to all part of lahore/karachi/islamabad.

The thing I sont get is if Stormfiber is on PIE then why are ptcl users getting 50ms to 185.179.202.65 while Im getting 500ms?

Now check . Pings to 185.179.202.65 has somehow reduced to 170ish ms.

Pings have gotten 10 - 12 ms higher in the past few days. I used to get around 151 ms in German, Dutch and Irish servers on Battlefield 1 but now its in 160s. I play after 11 o'clock till about 4 in the morning before Fajr. But they are consistent, nonetheless, even when I sometimes play in the afternoon. I have contacted my local manager and he says he'll check back after getting confirmation from concerned department

Moved from PTCL to stormfiber last week, so that I can enjoy a 'disconnection free' internet. I did not know that storm fibre is actually worse than PTCL, I've got frequent disconnections and poor speed. I rarely get the 30mbps I pay for, usually its around 13-14 mbps and never do I get full upload plus download speed. I've called their helpline every single day in the past week and the issue still isn't resolved.

Bitterly disappointed that i didn't opt for TES and went ahead in ordering SF. Wish i could change my decision, at-least those guys deliver on their promises of reliable connectivity. Also your customer support is garbage, it's the usual same responses "We just checked your perimeters and everything seems to be working fine. Please restart your device and disconnect any other devices for optimal performance.", if i request for a technician i'm responded with "Please just restart your device and our perimeters seems to be functioning accordingly."First it was constant disconnections and now it's bad latency in most online games. I can't even stream properly. I don't even get the entire 30mbs, it usually just 12-15 mbs which is rubbish.Improve and fix your shit, you'll just be losing customers if not.""

for stormfiber Pings have gone higher since they switched to pie , also i am getting packet loss during peak hours on sea server, but i am facing no disconnects or slow streaming,downloading. I have optix in my office and believe me its pure cancer.

On CSGO steam servers, i used to get 23-25 ping. Now i get 130-140 ping on same servers. Pings are worse now. Otherwise the internet works flawless.

All ISPs relying on another ISP for bandwidth will always eventually degrade in quality. I bet TW do it on purpose. What can these smaller ISPs even do? It's a monopoly. Especially as the other option is PTCL
