[Important] Sticky Threads getting locked!

This is to announce that the following threads will be locked and unstickied at the end of the Footballing season

and this will be taken down in two days time

This measure is being taken in order to allow for efficient database management (I don't know how it works so don't ask ) as the threads have exceed 1000 pages already.

These threads will all need replacements so feel free to contact me if you're willing to make one. Any suggestions with regards to naming, format etc. are welcome and can be discussed right here.

Lets just have a transfer thread in the off season and of course the WC thread. Plus what do you mean its up for grabs do you have to do something to make another thread?

In the off-season the EPL thread should be locked. There should be a WC thread, and another thread for general football discussion and transfers.

IMO during the off-season:
1. General Football + Transfers thread.
2. WC thread.

EPL thread should be locked at that time.

One thread for transfers + General football. Transfers are only in the summers + January so that's very few other games. We'll have a separate thread for World Cup so no intl friendlies. It'll pretty much be Worldcup thread + Transfers thread. General football wont begin till late July so good enough IMO.

But this time IMO the transfers, or the major team transfers at least should be enlisted (preferably club wise) in the OP. Easier access + easy way to keep track for the casual watcher.

Good idea. One of the complaints that came up by merging Transfers with the General Football thread was that it was hard to keep track of "who got transferred where?".
Which I why I floated the possibility of a separate Transfers thread

The OP will pretty much be used for Transfer IMO. The regulars already know what match is coming up by the talk in the threads so yeah.

Yup the idea to keep transfers on the OP for major clubs is good. Off topic Abby for bring back the old man before agreed time Otto should have to keep the avatar for an additional week as a punishment

but there should definitely be a separate EPL thread...
ofcourse the epl thread has no use in the summers so it should be locked...

He means that a new Gen footy thread will be made so anyone - active; who will update the OP with transfers each window - can 'grab' it.

I'm okay with anyone who dznt typ lyk ds in proper threads, knows how to punctuate and format. I would've said I'm up for it but I'm not too keen because I know I'll run out of time after this transfer window. I could do it this window if no one else is willing to do that. Plus the amount of notifications in that PMs I get for the EPL thread title edits is monumental. The PMs would just hoard my almost full pm box

It's OP is useless as the thread is used merely for discussion no one sees the OP. We could make these threads useful if we could pin the OP somehow so that it's at the top of each page like they have it at Pakwheels. ( @iNF3RN0 @NaNoW @abobobilly, possible?)

But what benefit that will serve? we need to consider the rest of the sections as well.
