Standard Chartered EXCESSIVE CHARGES!!

Hi.

Dear people i want to know ur views abt it.

Recently i opened the standard chartered account on oct 2012, regular savings account. First they charged me with their Rs 750 debit card annual charges.

NOW ON 2ND JAN 2013 THEY HAVE PUT ON RS 1100 ATM ANNUAL CHARGES + 200 tax... WHAT THE HECK IS THAT I MEAN. I HAVE ACCOUNT ON ALHABIB. THEY NEVER CHARGED ANY THING FROM THIS. WHATS WITH THIS STANDARD CHARTERED??



ANY ONE HAVING SCB ACCOUNT AND BEING PUT ON SUCH HIGH CHARGES?

I ONLY USE SCB FOR ONLINE TRANSACTIONS. AND NOTHING ELSE.

first off u have a savings account ! they charge more for savings account and they even deduct zakat on that account aswell.

secondly get current account and i have one and they just charged me 600rs atm annual charges and 75rs etc FED federal excise duty

saving accounts do get charged more dunno about other banks but what i know off scb they do

the scb moron couldnt addd my email for weeks..i went 2 times to main branch, 3-5 times in other branches and these highly educated Abuses will lead to banes are unable to process a customer request. SCB is not customer friendly, nor it is cheap, its only for big Abuses will lead to banes

Sent several emails to SCB and they never responded.
Even they dont reply to the complaints serious in nature.
It is even difficult to get connect with them on their helpline numbers.
Their customer service is worst I guess.

SCB is a complete rip off. It's ppl like us who support them by opening accounts there. Other banks are far far better than the crappy SCB.
I avoided to open an account there, even when everyone in my organization has a company account there.

i got the same but i am wondering about the FED dose it varies from city to city my fed deducted 95rs ? or it should be the same 75rs ?

yar ap kia samajhtay ho me khud se branch pohnch jau ga?...these helpline guys are the ones who told me to go to branch, and i called em 2 times but they insisted that i visit main branch. 500 ka petrol (cng band BC) dal kar 2 chakkar main branch me maray, aur qareeb me bhi idahr udhar inki fazool branches me phirta raha but all in vein so far. Phir salo ko dubara call ki k bhai kab add hoga to jwab aya k sir christmas aur new year ki waja se hosakta he k apki request delay hogai ho aap thora aur wait karain, aur ab 10 days more hogay. Ab sirf aik hi tariqa reh gya hay k Sab se baray chore se jang akhbar me appeal ki jay SCB k khilaf! uska danda shayd kuch asar dikhay

^^ pata nahi bhai, i never went to the scb branch to get my email registered, they just did it via phone with me. opened my account back in 2010 got the email registered in early 2011

I had a horrible experience with them as well, really poor customer service and tons of hidden charges. Moved to Bank Islami and never looked back.

I have an SCB current account....opened it in early 2011....I've never once had a problem or been hit with hidden charges...my email was registered when I opened the account too...no delays of any sort....

Occasionally, the only problem I have, is when I try to add a beneficiary for a transfer, I dont receive the eTac and pin codes in a timely manner....but thats only occasionally.

I got my Easy saver account about 3 years ago i think and i had no issues . no charges nothing

I'v got a BBA and the account balance was virtually 0 at the start of new year and still is as salary has not yet come in. Now these bastards are showing a -720 balance on my account. Can anyone confirm if this is for ATM card annual fee?

^^ yeah its for that, most probably or u can check ur statement online via their online banking or u can call them and inquire about this.

Same here, I had some balance, about 100 I think, now it's -654.
