then where do you think they will go next? as far as i know the only other marker IS on earth ... =/
There are 11 other replicas of the markers on diffrrent sites (planets) as heard in the last transmission after credits.
What I don't undrstand is when Nicole actually grabs and will kill you if you don't hit x (ps3). I thought they all are hallucinations. Isaac says YOU CANT KILL ME, you're just in my mind and Nicole replies yes I can and Isaac dies.
Sad that the game had no reference of the professor who was sent to the sprawl in the aftermath animation series for being in touch with the marker. Nor was any reference made of the ds extraction survivors.
The information they collected from Isaac and patient 4 helped them create this replica in 3 years. Probably patient 4 was the same guy from the animated series.
Khair , overall the game was amazing. Ironically it does not add anything new to the dead space plot. The questions like where is the earths alliance military which look after mining operations ? The reference of make us whole is suppose to refer to Isaac and Nicole or the red marker to black marker? Where is the fragment of the red marker they extracted after aegis 7 was destroyed ? .
BTW you can kill the regenerator by either blowing off all his parts that is both hands and limbs then the head and tail. Or I killed him twice by using stasis during regeneration .

Tidemann actually BUILT a marker on the sprawl using Issac and Stross.Maybe they've got more markers somewhere else.

Actually there was.The scientist's Name was Nolan Stross.The guy that stabbed Ellie in the eye and kept talking about the 4 steps, that was him.

@Soulhunter , the dead space extraction survivors - the two cops, mcniel and weller and the girl lexine (i think) . The three survived , where in the end Lexine contacts Usg kellion not to dock ishimura. The three has survived , lexine shooting a necromorph in the end is just an hallucination like nicole's in dead space 1 ending. Dead space is no zombie game where when deeply injured you turn into one of them. It has to be done by the infector which morphs a human's dna to the necromorph in an instant.
Lexine story is said to continue in a dlc for dead space 2 . I bet the two cops would make a comeback too.

T'was a very fine needle that pierced his eye, not stab it like that pencil did to that chick's eye.. plus the crazy guy makes it sound like they've done the eye thing to the patients multiple times before too.
dont u remember the ending of dead space 1??? We were looking at isaac's face and when he slowly sees he find nicole's shade next to him. That's what they showed in DS2. When he looks slowly at his side, hez relieved to find ellie, not nicole's apparition. puzzled, ellie naturally says 'what'?
Btw would someone summarize to me what happened in DS1 and DS2. I couldn't quite graps and link the 2 stories.
OK i'm forming the questions left unanswered:
What exactly IS the purpose of the marker and unitology? There is a huge part of game dedicated to the unitologist church but I dont understand how turning to monsters is considered 'greatness'...
The marker in DS1 and DS2 is a replica of one on Earth. So shouldn't earth be infected?
How did Isaac destroy the market when his eye was needled?
What was the 'make us whole again' whole thing all about?

. Michael Altman , somewhere around 200-300 years ago from the dead space story found some gravitational disorders at one of the place on earth. The locals had a myth about the place long before michael altman decided to dig and find out what exactly is causing this mishap. Regardless, the government sponsored altman and his team to find out what is underneath it. There a black marker was discovered . It had some Dna codes written on it that would alter a human being in a monster for only being around it.
Nobody knows how the marker ended up on earth , some kind of alien technology. The government then went on to research this marker with altman leading the project. Scientists started to change into necromorphs , altman knew of this and the government in order to keep it secret and proceed with the research killed Altman. Unitology was then founded with people calling altman as the founder and marker being the truth of this religion. All sayings of altman that were related to the marker of how it changes human beings and genetic codes was taken into context with necromorphs and the people created a religion not altman.
Research progessed with another person as the head. He also found out about necromorphs and in order to contain it he created a pedestal which stopped the markers effect. Researchers were then able to pull the codings from the black marker and replicate it into a red marker which was man made and buried on aegis 7 which was then put off limits to mining by the earth government. However, over the years ECC (corporation i think) went their and started the events before ds1 . Where the red marker was uncovered , the colony and the ship ishimura was affected . Thus the dna alterations and hallucinations started to spread again.

THe needle helped him into making the bad visions of nicole into good ones. IT changed his hallucinations. Thus was able to destroy the marker. He is also affected by the marker but not in a extreme way.
Make us whole is the creator Isaac clarke and the marker. The convergence event where if clarke had failed he would've turned everyone into more powerful necromorphs. The dna on the marker and it's creator would've then be one.

I didn't know that except for the fact that micheal altman found the marker and he was killed and then unitology came to being. and that original marker was from earth and aegis7 marker was reverse engineered from that. wait WHAT? ummmm nicole started being nice RIGHT after the mine elevator when the doors open and she says "WHO AM I ISSAC? AM I YOUR FRIEND? YOUR LOVER? etc speech and he says you were my everything =S ... that part is like chapter 11 and the needle is chapter 13 so the needle DEFINITELY didn't change the nicole thingI'll to reply to those questions

hmmm so I didn't get one point. How is the marker converting people to monsters with the dna pattern while at the same time emitting a field aka "Dead Space" to prevent it? I read it on the wikia but couldn't understand what exactly is the marker upto!
The marker when not placed on the pedestal would start a convergence event. In Dead Space 2, The marker wasn't placed on the pedestal while in the last part of Dead Space 1 when Issac returns the marker on the pedestal necromorphs disappear.
Yeah and didn't Nicole betray Issac again which meant that she was just another trick by the marker.
so what is this pedastal, apart from a container that contains marker powers. And what is 'Dead Space' exactly? the DNA altering radiations from marker?
Dead Space is a field covering the marker which cause hallucinations and stuff. Convergence Event is the gathering of Necromorphs to form a super creature probably "The Hive Mind" or something greater as Nicole says at the last battle that "HE wants to be recreated again/reborn".
