using x20 led budget around 7 k for used card
a second hand HD4870 512MB would be the ideal choice
It can be found for 8k Rs

If u cannot get a hold of it then GTS250 is the second option

Best ATi card in 7k is 512mb 4870 (Best in 7k) or His 512mb 4850 Iceq4 for 6k.
In 8k you can easily find a 1GB 4870..(The best choice if you can stretch ur budget to 8k)
Best Nvidia card in 7k is 1GB GTS 250

well if it were me i would never prefer an old used gpu with so much failure chances. if it gets kaput it means u have thrown ur 7k for junk. I would rather buy a new card like 6570 for 7500/-

the only new card that is even worth considering in this price range is HIS HD5670 ICEQ DDR5 for Rs8800 and quite specifically the DDR5 Version

Anything less than that doesnt have the power to run anything -.-

Completely agree with hasanJ HD5670 ddr3 version is same as HD 5570 with increase clock only so in 7k buying used hd4870 or gts250 is the best option for Thread opener.

In July 2008 Nvidia released a refresh of the 9800 GTX: 9800 GTX+ (55 nm manufacturing process). It has faster core (738 MHz) and shader (1836 MHz) clocks. Since March 2009 this design is manufactured as GeForce GTS 250.
link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GeForce_9_Series

so
gts250 = 9800gtx+ > 9800gt

and according to this
http://www.gpureview.com/show_cards.php?card1=606&card2=566
gts250 is better in (Memory bandwidth, Pixel Fill Rate & Texture Fill Rate) than HD 4850

gts250 is good for you dear IMO.

@OP: the gts250 competes with ati4850.
the ati4870 is bout 30 ~ 40 % better and faster than both the gts250 and ati4850.

if you understand the risks of used stuff, then buy a 4870, you'll be happy with your purchase .
else if you want a new card, then go with (as hasanJ has suggested) HIS HD5670 ICEQ DDR5.

previously used hd4670 GDDR4 512MB and used to play fifa 11 only
my specs are e6500 dual core, 2GB DDR2 XMS2, 500W Extreme Power, HP X20 LED now want to buy another card which will perform better.
budget around 5-6k as i m not a hardcore gamer just wana play FIFA 12 and sometimes NFS, Videos and Browsing.
What about 9800 GT available on iamextreme around 7.5k new is it a good upgrade and in used how much it will cost.
