Registration
Download and Install the application on your Android Phone and click the “Register” button after opening the app
Fill in the registration form with your PTCL details, i.e. Name, CNIC, PSTN #, Account ID, email and Cell number
If the credentials match, the application would be registered and SmartLink to anywhere calls shall be activated
PTCL contact center would call you within 24 hours to validate your Subscription; Alternatively you can call 1236 to get your SmartLink validated

1. From where can I download the app?
SMARTLINK App can be downloaded from playstore.
2.What are the supported OS versions?
Android OS 2.3.5 or above.
3.Does it need registration to use theapp?
Yes registration is required to use thisapplication. After installing the application on login screen, you will see theregister button, tap on register button to register the application.
4.What is the Account ID associated with theprovided number where can I find it?
You can find it on your PTCL bill.
5.Does the app work on Wi-Fi?
Yes.
6.Can I switch an audio call to a video callduring the call?
Yes.
7.What is the billing procedure?
All App to App call are free of cost. However, inall other cases, you will be charged as per PTCL tariff.
8.Will there be any charges for receiving call throughthe app?
Not only Receiving call through app is free of costalso calling from app to app is free.
9.The application supports group call?
Yes of course application support the groupcall.
10.What if my mobile phone is lost orstolen?
You just have to call to 1218 and your account willbe suspended.
11.Can I make a list of my important contacts onthis app?
Yes, you can make a list of your favoritecontacts.
12.Does the app show the current status ofcontacts?
Yes the application shows the status of everycontact i.e. contact is online/offline or busy.
13.Can I use landline and appsimultaneously?
Yes you can use both simultaneously i.e. call fromlandline to some number and at the same time call from app to anywhere.
14.Does this app have call waitingfeature?
Yes.
15.How many accounts can I own at a time?
You can have only one Smart Id against one Landlinenumber.
16.What if I forget my password?
Use Forget password.
17.Can I change my PTCL number while keepingSmart Id same or vice versa?
No.
18.Does this app run in background?
The app run in background i.e. if you are using some other application in your phone and someone call you on your smart ID, a popup screen will appear to receive, reject, ignore a call.
19. How can I change my profile related details like password, status, picture etc?
In Profile section, use the box on top left
20. Any minimum requirement of Broadband speed?
Will work on almost all but recommended 4 Mbps or above
21. Calls do not show in my dialer/call logs out of application
You can enable Call Logs Integration option which is present in User Interface section in Preferences (It might not work on all android handsets)
